The voice never stopped singing. Instead, the voice was louder, every step Zhao Yunlan took was getting near the voice.

A terrifying thought ran through his head. This was not Wei.

Wei would never use his voice against him. And, also to be noted, that the voice wasn't as soft as Wei, it was strong, aggressive even.

Tears began to roll down Zhao Yunlan's cheeks. This was it. He was going to die. He could feel it.

I'm sorry, Xiao Wei... I hope I get to see you... One... Last... Time...

It took longer than Wei expected, but he finally got it. A treasure he had kept for a very long time. He felt fortunate that he didn't meet Ye Zun on his way. It was for the best that they didn't meet.

When he got to the shore, he realized that the lights of the house were off. Wei thought it was suspicious. He was certain that Zhao Yunlan would always turn on the lights for him. To find his way back home.

The worst case scenario ran through his mind that Zhao Yunlan wasn't even here.

He could faintly feel his presence.

Wei subconsciously took a step back and shook his head furiously.

"No. No. No. NO!" He roared.

He gripped his hair tightly, not caring if he felt pain or not.

This can't be happening...

He knew Zhao Yunlan wouldn't leave him. He made that pretty clear. There was only one explanation and Wei was going to visit him.

He went back into the water and swam as fast as he could to Ye Zun's place. Which was an underwater cave.

Wei hoped that Zhao Yunlan was alive. The thought of never seeing him again would kill him. He didn't want to lose him again. It was not fair. He finally felt happy. He finally found his home.

As he got there, his heart sank. He saw Zhao Yunlan's lifeless body tied onto one of the heavy barrels that had sunken into the sea many years ago.

Zhao Yunlan... is dead...

Wei was frozen in place. He didn't even realize his brother had even sneaked up on him from behind.

He didn't care if his brother was attacking him. He couldn't take his eyes off the lifeless Zhao Yunlan. The sight of him like this... It destroyed Wei.

"-ge! Are you even listening to me?!" Ye Zum screamed at him in their native tongue.

Wei was snapped back into reality, he reluctantly shifted his eyes away from his lover's corpse and glared daggers at his brother.

"What did you do?!" Wei asked, gritting his teeth.

They were both on the seafloor of the cave with Ye Zun having the upper hand. He placed his knife onto Wei's neck and looked at him tauntingly.

"What I should've done all those years ago, gege. Killing this stupid human." He gave Zhao Yunlan a dirty look.

Wei's anger rose as Ye Zun spoke disrespectfully about his love and roared, "How dare you speak to him that way? Didi. I loved him. I still do." His voice broke mid-sentence.

Ye Zun laughed maniacally, he held his stomach from too much laughter.

Wei struck while the iron was hot and punched his brother in the face, releasing him his grasp.
