Kenji's POV
I woke up to a sense of warmth and happiness. I felt extremely relaxed and as I looked beside me, I saw my wife sleeping, a peaceful smile on her delicate face. I have never felt so lucky to have her by my side. Her arm lies on top of my chest and it's so cute. I gently stroke her cheek and her eyes flutter open. "Hey" she whispers, her voice soft. "Good morning Yaz." I said, unable to stop smiling at her.
As we sat down for breakfast, she kept glancing at me with a questioning look in her eyes. I sighed, setting down my spoon and resting my head in my hands. "Kenji, I know it's hard, but we need to make a decision." Yaz began to speak, placing her hand on mine. "I know I want to go but if you don't, I completely get it." Her smile faded as she said those last few words. I couldn't believe how hard I found it to make up my mind. "Okay, let's think about it, sorting through the pros and cons," I started, hoping this would clear things up. "Going there means we will re-unite with Darius, Brooklynn, Ben and Sammy. It would also mean that we get to relive the memories of us being together except being chased by dinosaurs and fleeing for our lives" I couldn't help but bitterly laugh at my last statement. Yaz gave me a pained smile, knowing exactly what was going through my head. We had both required therapy for months before things got even slightly normal, and she knew how hard it would be to go back to the place that created dreadful memories.
"I don't really see many cons considering our safety is guaranteed." I sighed, knowing there was no way I could win this discussion. My wife's face lit up, her happiness completely obvious. She jumped up and ran at me, almost toppling us both over as I laughed and gave her a hug. I would do anything for this woman, no matter what it takes.
---- Next Day ----
Brooklynn's POV
Deciding whether to pack my pink jacket or the grey one was an extremely hard decision, but I made up my mind. Pink it is, I thought as a smile crept onto my face. Before I could put it in though, hands wrapped around my waist, a face burying itself into my shoulder. "Hey Superstar, you alright there?" Darius asked, his scent making me feel safe.
"Of course" I replied, giving him a cheerful smile before turning around to face him. "Have you packed all your stuff? I cannot WAIT for Thursday!" I squealed like a 16 year old, practically throwing my hands in the air with my signature finger-guns. Darius chuckled, before grabbing his hoodie and shoving it in his suitcase. Grabbing my phone off the bedside table, I turned it on to look at the comments on my latest vlog. 47 million followers, I thought as I scrolled through the endless "Omg congrats Brook!" and "Can't wait for the next video" comments.
This trip will be awesome, I thought with a firm nod, packing the last of my clothes.
