ALL DAY, YEONWOO'S disappointed face ran through Seojun's mind like a broken record. To dispel it from his mind, he threw the water balloons as hard as he could at his friends' face. But all he could see was her, hurt and confused, walking away from him and leaving him deflated like an old balloon.

"Ya, Han Seojun!" Kim Chorong whined, emerging from behind the booth sopping wet. "What's wrong? Why are you so angry?"

Seojun closed his eyes, feeling the urge to flounce off and just wallow in his guilt.

"Han Seojun!"

"Aish!" Seojun snapped. "Whatever. I'm going to go see my pretty girl."

"Sua! Over here!"

Sua bounded over to where Yeonwoo was standing, by the cotton candy booth. Sua was dressed in a cute mint-green cardigan and miniskirt, while Yeonwoo wore a plain white long-sleeved shirt and black slacks, her hair in a messy low ponytail.

"You're so pretty, you look good in anything!" Sua cooed and linked arms with her. "Kang Su's coming later, and Jugyeong texted me to say she has something to do for the concert, so how about we look around and have some fun before the basketball match?"

Yeonwoo eagerly nodded. In middle school, she had not been close to Sua. Now, she found herself increasingly enjoying her company. She was very fun, someone who could bring out the fun in Yeonwoo she had long thought gone ever since Seyeon's death.

They toured the festival, playing games, watching mini-performances and devouring the cotton candy and popcorn they bought. They mainly won consolation prizes, but Sua managed to snag first prize at a game of darts.

"I'm going to give this to my Hoonie!" She squealed, hugging her prize, a stuffed dragon toy, tight. She then asked Yeonwoo, "Yeonwoo-ah, did you date anyone in the UK?"

She shook her head. Sua frowned.

"Didn't anyone ask you out?"

Yeonwoo said hesitantly. "A few. I rejected them. I went with a boy to a dance, but that was all, nothing serious."

"You must have really high standards. Tell you what—how about I set you up on a blind date? I arranged one for Jugyeong and it didn't go well, but this time I'll make sure to choose really really carefully."

"Umm. Alright."

As the basketball match started in half an hour, Sua got changed into her mascot costume in the while Yeonwoo lounged on the locker bench. Sua's phone pinged with a message, and Yeonwoo picked it up, checking the sender before reading it.

sorry. I can't make it today.

"Sua!" Yeonwoo raced to the locker where Sua was storing her clothes and showed her the message.

"Oh no!" Sua moaned. She pulled at Yeonwoo's clothes. "Will you do it?"

"No way! I'm claustrophobic."

Sua groaned. "Let's go find Jju then, quickly!"
