Once they returned to Citadel, Furiosa and the other women mounted the ramp with the War Car. They have proven themselves to everyone that they had killed Immortan.
Once everyone saw his dead body, everyone was overjoyed and knew Furiosa was the rightful ruler. As they were taken up to the mountains, everyone was cheering around her, Immortan was dead and they were all saved.
Furiosa noticed Max and Kris walking away from them, heading away from Citadel. They turned around and Kris nodded to her best friend.
They had an incredible journey together, but it was time for her to leave her past life and her past name, to move forward and begin a new life with the stranger called Max.
They turned back around, hand in hand, walking into the Wasteland to start a new life, together.
