YOU SLID DOWN the hallway of your shared dorm, happiness bubbled in you as you got ready to bother your childhood best friend, Sakusa Kiyoomi.
you guys have been friends for as long as you could remember, it had basically become a ritual for you to bother him with random facts about your day while he pretended to care or made snarky remarks back.
"hey, Kiyo! guess wh-"
your skipping came to a stop as you looked at the raven-haired boy who sat on the couch, his eyes glued to his phone as a solemn expression was present.
you tilted your head to the side with an inquisitive look on your face. I mean sure Kiyoomi was somewhat of a grumpy pants, but you could tell the difference between when something was actually bothering him and his fake 'mean' facade.
"What happened?" you rounded around the wood table and sat on the vacant seat beside him, "it's Atsu again, isn't it?"
an exasperated sigh was heard before he actually put down his phone, running his hand along his face. "It's actually not that blondie getting on my nerves for once."
"well, that's new— c'mon! tell your n/n what's wrong, sweet cheeks!" your hands reached out to pinch sakusa's cheeks like you always did when you were bored. how could you not? they were so fluffy!
the said boy gently pushed your hands away before talking. "you remember Izumi right?"
you nodded. how could you forget your ex-best friend who started dating your long time crush (aka Kiyoomi ) before you even got the chance to confess.
"she broke up with me-" he paused. "over text."
you chewed down on your bottom lip with a half-fake solemn face. you pulled the tall man beside you down to your chest, rubbing your hands in his black hair to give him some kind of comfort.
half of you were happy because you got your childhood best friend back, but the other felt bad because of the way he was feeling.
Izumi and Sakusa weren't the perfect couple, but they seemed happy. at least based off what you saw. so you found it unusual that she would just break it off like that.
shaking yourself out of your thoughts you reached down to grab his face in your hands. "ice cream and crappy TV?!"
a sigh of amusement was heard as he nodded his head. "what would I do without you?"
"Die I guess."
