A SIGH CAME out of your lips as you stared at the paper that was filled with bunch of letters and words that you almost can't understand of; too tired to even blink or raised your hand to check the essay you assigned.
you straighten your back in hopes that the aching from your shoulders and back would be gone, your head turn when a twist of door knob rung in your ear.
"Mama..."
"Yes hun?" you asked forcing a weak smile to the child that was holding papers in her small hands, "I finished my homework today" she stated proudly with a bright smile showing the papers to you, her sloppy and messy yet still understandable writing was shown to you, you hummed pretending to read her work when in reality you can't even find all of your brain cells and hold them together since you're too exhausted from the checking you've doing.
"great job" you complimented and pat her head to which she giggled in delight, proud and confident about the compliment you gave her. "Mama? Can i watch my show now?" she asked and tug on your shirt, you nodded at her and smiled to which she mirrored but much more wider and brighter.
she skipped out of the room, closing the door behind her excited to watch her favorite show and relax after doing her homework, but you still have work to do so you can't watch the show with her or even take a small nap.
you rub your temple in frustration not finding the concentration to continue your exhausting work, deciding to take a break and got up to go to the kicthen and get rid off the forming sore in your throat.
a ghost like smile visited on your lips as your eyes caught of the glimpse of your daughter giggling at the show that was playing in front of her, your eyebrows immediately perked up when you hear the doorbell continuously ring, placing the empty glass on the counter before going to the door confused of who the person might be
-and why they're annoyingly pressing the doorbell continuously, you slowly opened the door and your e/c orbs caught sight of golden ones, "wha- haru?" you asked in confusion is to why your younger brother was doing in front of your doorsteps.
