Palm trees scattered the island as we observed from afar. The water that surrounded the island looked crystal blue, as the girls and I spotted our cottage as the guide pointed with the tip of his finger.
The guide went on and told us about how the island was conquered and made into a hidden gem of the Caribbean.
"Ladies it's been an honor showing you around by boat", he said as he helped us get out of the boat, kissing each of our hands with a small peck. He handed us our bags and we carried them to our small cottage.
Avery squealed as we opened the door to our snuggly cottage along the shores of an island on the Caribbean.
"I love it", she hugged both of us as we opened the door wider for her and we stepped inside.
"It's beautiful, absolutely beautiful", she went to the bar and saw the fully stocked shelves.
She grabbed the glasses and poured us each a shot, as she called us over.
"Thank you for being here and making this the best party ever", she toasted to our girls weekend. The little glass was so strong as I swallows it feeling the harsh burn against my throat.
"Sorry girls my plane was delayed", a destructive voice spoke from the door, and the heels stomping against the hardwood floor, could only mean one person.
"Did you miss me?", Tiffany spoke as she grabbed herself a glass and poured herself a shot from the open bottle.
"No, no you're not running my weekend take your shit and leave", Avery forcefully pushed her out of the cottage as Avery chucked her bags outside.
"I won't be that easy to get rid of besides I felt like this would be a great time to finally repair our rough patches", she spoke standing outside as she walked back inside holding her very own key.
"The rough patches you've created?", I asked her and she shook her head.
"I mean you didn't have to marry my ex, but you did and Caroline you didn't have to hook up with my brother, but you did, and Avery you're better than them, we were supposed to be friends", she complained as I couldn't believe she was ruining our weekend.
"What a self-centered bitch? Making everything about you?", I scoffed as she grabbed her filer and started filing her nails.
"How else would it be fun, if it wasn't all about me?", she asked as she looked up into the ceiling.
"Fine you can stay here, we're leaving", Avery said as she pulled Caroline, who was trying to calmly talk to Tiffany.
Caroline still tried to be friends with Tiffany, she knew just how much Tiffany meant to Alec. She still tried for Tiffany to finally see her for everything she was and not everything she wasn't. I could tell Tiffany's words had gotten to her as we walked into town.
Avery linked our arms with hers as she tried to raise our spirits, considering who had just surprise attacked us out of nowhere.
"I feel bad we left her-", Caroline muttered as Avery almost slapped her.
"No, no you don't get to feel bad for her, she's been an absolute bitch to you", Avery reassured Caroline as she looked back at the cottage which wasn't so far behind.
"I know but still-",Care looked back at the cottage and I could tell she wanted Tiffany to like her and she wasn't someone to stop, until she had it.
"Your right we've been nothing but nice to her, and she's the one whose acting like an outrageous toddler", Caroline screeched as Avery hugged her.
