Y/N POV

We arrived at the hospital after about 30 minutes of driving. You wiped your tear stained face and got out of the car. Gavin grabbed your hand and led you inside. We were told Dom was in emergency surgery and to wait in the waiting room. The nurse promised she would come out and tell us any new information that came up. You sat down in between Tom and Adam. Gavin sat next to Michael across from us. We all sat in silence, staring at the floor. It was almost like if nobody said anything about it, it didn't actually happen. You knew deep down that wasn't true though. You just couldn't bring yourself to even look up. Instead you buried your face in your hands and began to sob silently. Trapped deep in your thoughts, only thinking the worst. Fortunately no fans followed you guys to the hospital and nobody had recognized you yet. You couldn't deal with any kind of social interaction right now. You're afraid you'd break down if you tried to talk to anyone. It had been about 4 hours of waiting in silence until two doctors began walking towards you all with faces that were too hard to read after all the crying. The one doctor asked if we could all follow them into a conference room so he could talk to us privately. Your heart sunk. If it was good news he wouldn't need to bring us somewhere private to tell us. You immediately began to think the worst. You followed him into the conference room along with Adam, Tom, Michael, Gavin, and the other doctor with him. We all sat down around a table as he cleared his throat and began to speak, "I'm not going to sugarcoat this. Your friend suffered severe internal injuries to many of his organs including his brain. He is extremely fortunate that we were able to repair almost all of the damages, but unfortunately we believe he suffered a Hypoxic-Anoxic Brain Injury, or an HAI." We all looked at him with "what the heck does that mean" looks on our faces. Before he could continue the other doctor spoke up, "What he meant to say is that your friend's brain was without oxygen for an extended period of time due to the extent of his injuries. Because of this, he's in a coma, and we're not sure when he's going to wake up. Or...if he's going to wake up." She said. You could feel your eyes start to burn and the tears begin to flow out uncontrollably.
