"noona!" his familiar dolphin voice, perked at her ears from down the corridor. "noonaaa!" the voice got closer and the younger boy appeared in front of her
"hey lele, what's up?"
"noonaaaaa~ jaemin hyung already ate half the cookies!!" chenle whined as he clung onto her arm, while using his other hand to point at jaemin who was running after him
"i got carried away by the new episode of penthouse. what are you talking about you big head" jaemin came from behind and gave chenle a big smack on his head
"owwwwww! noona see! he hit me" chenle pouted at haeyeon while pointing at jaemin who held an awkward laugh
"aigoo lele, come here. i'll blow it for you?" jaemin caressed his head, wanting to give him kisses-
"no! ewwww- hyung! that's disgusting, get away from me" chenle screeched, running away as jaemin almost kissed his neck
he was so thankful he got away before... the kiss landed on him
jaemin ran after chenle who was circling behind jisung. then, mark, renjun and jeno who have been supporting haechan had arrived
he hovered over to his sister as he held onto her for support
"careful hyuckie" she reminded. haechan grabbed onto his younger sister protectively- like a life-sized bodyguard bear
"yeon.. i suggest you don't get too close with my friends"
"huh why? they're such nice people"
"i'll be sad if you don't give your attention to me" haechan peeped his head in front of her and pouted cutely
haeyeon made her disgusted face, "eww please don't do that" she said, pushing his head away
"i see you everyday, what do you mean?" she laughed briefly which made haechan's smile drop. this time, haechan pulled her closer and looked at her seriously in the eye, "i'm serious about this"
"yes, i know. i won't" she reassured her brother as she knew about his rules. his rules were made clear to her when she was about seven years old
"i like you haeyeon" seven year old wooyoung hugged seven year old haeyeon. "i fe- " but before she could reply to his confession, wooyoung had gotten pulled away from her
"yah! what do you think you're doing!" seven year old haechan screamed at his best friend. "i told you that she's off limits right?! all those times when you talked about the girl you liked.. and she was my sister??"
"you're my best frie- "
"so what? i'm your best friend and i can't like you sister?" wooyoung fumed up as he pushed haechan back with his index finger. "no! you can't" haechan fired back, holding his friend by the collar
"hyuck.." haeyeon pleaded her twin to let go but failed miserably
"just stay out of this yeon!" he screamed at his sister. it was the first time he ever did that
"choose wooyoung. it's your best friend or haeyeon. and if you choose haeyeon, you'll never be my friend again"
"that's.. i-i can't choose but haeyeon, i can't give up on her.." he looed at haechan, a hint of pain in his eyes. haechan breathed out harshly, "then i guess this is the end of our friendship."
all because of that haechan made a rule that his friends cannot date his sister, otherwise he will not hesitate to drop their friendship
just like him and wooyoung who were friends since they came out of their families. even if it has been over 8 years, he will not hesitate to do it again
but of course. she doesn't want him to lose anymore friends, because as much as it hurt him. it hurt her as well
when they arrived at school, she turned around instantly to face them. "guys please take care of hyuckie yeah"
renjun nodded. just as jaemin and haeyeon was about to walk away, haechan pulled jaemin's shoulder back and whispered over to him
"jaem.. you're my best friend. i trust you to take care of my sister, make sure she doesn't get hurt"
as much as jaemin did not want to waste his own time, haeyeon was still his best friend's precious sister. so he nodded in response, reassuring him
"don't worry hyuck, i'll take good care of her" he smiled slightly as he patted his back before turning around
jaemin joined haeyeon who was waiting for him up front. "what did hyuck say?" she questioned
"why are you so nosy? it's none of your business" he spat before walking away with haeyeon following behind him
is he always this rude?
as soon as they reached class, a girl shyly walked up to them, with a small white box in her hand
"jaemin oppa, this is for you. i-i baked this strawberry cake last night... and i really like you" she blurted out, lifting the box up as she put her head down waiting for him to respond
"i don't like strawberries" jaemin looked down at the girl, glaring into her soul
his face turned emotionless at the sudden confession as he knocked the box right out of her palms and walked away
the girl dropped to the floor as her minions gathered behind her, comforted her
haeyeon who was trailing behind him, bent down to help the girl pick up the squashed cake and it's box. "here let me help you" she carefully placed the cake back into the box and handed it to her
"i don't need your help!" however, the girl in return gave her a bitchy look
the girl snatched it out of her hands and pushed haeyeon, making her trip backwards but luckily jaemin managed to catch her right before she hit the floor
at the sight of haeyeon in his arms, the girl was furious. she stood up with her minions behind her and they stormed to the restroom
"yah what are you gonna do?" "she's definitely on our blacklist now" "first haechan oppa and now what? my jaemin oppa!!" the girl screamed into the mirror in front of her
"this is unacceptable, what a whore" the girl growled, anger fuming through her body. "damn right she is.."
"nobody can take away jaemin from me! he's mine, and only mine"
"baena, calm down first. what should we do now?"
