#WUM9

I forgot the count of the months; I was enjoying the life I'm having independently for sure because it was stress-free from the family. After the end of the semester two weeks ago, I started taking gigs even on weekdays to save money and for my daily expenses.

"Okay, bye!" Hera said merrily. "Let me stay at your place or you stay at mine next weekend, okay!"

I just sighed. She giggled soundly.

"Ako ang maghahatid sayo sa Lucky Spot every night!"

I winced. "You're famous, you can't do that."

"I wanna watch your gig, I can just put on a disguise. Basta, tingnan na lang natin sa weekend. By the way, mas maraming tao kapag weekends pala, 'no? Pati live performers?"

"Yeah, but Lucky Spot is kind of getting popular around these past weeks especially with the tourists. Kaya kahit weekdays, marami ring tao."

"Malapit Isla Verde riyan, right? Let's take your friends there and do island hopping, I've been missing the beach so bad!"

"Ang kulit mo, tanungin mo muna ang Mommy kung pwede ka sa ganoon kasi siguradong mapapagalitan ka pag nakuhanan ka ng litrato kung saan at walang paalam sa kanya."

"Kaya nga isi-sikreto, e? I mean, there are private resorts where we can stay and no one can take pictures of me for sure," she groaned. "Well, let's just plan it out when I get there already. Just give L and Riva heads up so they can suggest, too."

I brought my eyes up to scan my place, I have some important things now that I can use on daily basis. Of course, with Hera's help.

I sighed; I really need to talk to her about it because I'm now working. She shouldn't spoil me anymore.

It was really a good thing that Daisy's our friend, I have a privilege aside from just having my voice alone. Lucky Spot suits the name very much, it really is my lucky spot when the time I needed a place to work.

I don't need have to worry about what I wanna do.

My cellphone rang while zipping up my jeans, hindi ko naituloy iyon dahil sa tawag at inuna ko iyong sagutin sa pagmamadali. I pinned the cellphone between my shoulder and ear.

"Yes?" I answered as I resumed zipping my jeans.

"What's your next plan? Are you gonna keep it this way, huh, Sorcha? How about school? Aren't you going to enroll for the next semester?"

I was stunned by the coldness it brought down to my spine; it was Mommy's livid voice.

I couldn't talk for seconds; my tongue was knotted. Here's again my mortification that I don't wanna feel these days but hearing her voice makes me feel too neglectful and oblivious for everything they gave me.

"Are you going to ignore me forever? Until where will it take you? That behavior won't bring you too far, you're only hoping for nothing in the life you keep on wanting!"

My hands trembled a bit, I gasped and was about to say something but my tongue couldn't move. I fear her... if that wasn't obvious, now I could tell myself. I fear her words, it makes me lose courage. My heart started pounding in nervous and pain.
