The hunter team emerged on the steps of an old ruin in the forest. They looked around for any immediate threats while keeping their guard up, the mages and healers moved to the back with the tanks on their left and right and the knights in a spear formation

Y/N watched from the side with Tiamat, impressed with the hunter's awareness that anything could happen, even right at the entrance. "It looks clear, but keep your guard up, don't what the monsters to sneak up on us!" Mark commanded
The hunters started walking forward into the forest, they walked for a couple of minutes till Mark raised his hand signalling the party to spot, the then pointed his fingers at 4 of the knights behind him and motioned for them to circle round to the back of the group where the mages were
The knights followed his commands without question and stood ready for whatever Mark heard, a couple of seconds later they all heard a slight rustling in the trees, it was silent for a little more before a shrill voice screened a war cry, "Reeeaeaee!"
From the trees ran the equivalent of a goblin but they looked to be made of plants, they held little spears in their hands and were looking at the hunters like they were their next meal, in total there were 20 of them and they surrounded the equally large hunter group

The hunters responded quickly with the mages shooting fireballs the size of footballs (Or soccer for the Americans) at the creatures, burning some of them, the knights started cutting down the little monsters. within no time all the Forest goblins were dead and the hunters were barely breathing hard
"What are D-rank monsters doing in a B-rank gate? They shouldn't be able to survive with the higher-level creatures that exist here?" One of the mages asked in confusion, "I don't know, but remember, the rest of the raid won't be as easy as this, lets keep going!" Mark commanded
"Aye!" the hunters responded. Y/N knew why the goblins were still alive, they had made an agreement with the boss of the level, with their limited intelligence, and had promised him help if anyone tried to kill him
After killing a few more forest goblins along the way they eventually reached a clearing, on the clearing was the goblin village with more than 100 goblins working around, the heavy footfalls of the tanks got all the goblins attention as they all turned towards the hunters
When they were spotted the goblins drew their spears and charged at the group of 23 hunters, well 21 if you minus Y/N and Tiamat. The tanks quickly ran ahead and planted their shields in front of them. The goblins didn't seem to care and relentlessly attacked the shields as the mages fired fireballs and the knights stabbed in between the shields
It was going well as the goblins were losing numbers fast and would all be dead soon, until a new advisory appeared, the first B-rank monster in the B rank dungeon that they had spotted, the creature was 4 meters tall and looked down at the hunters before shaking its back and having 10 C rank monsters fall of

C rank/\ forest skeleton
The surprise was the fact that it came from behind, and considering all the tanks and knights had moved to the front the mages and healers were wide open for an attack from behind. "Ahh!" the knights turned around to see that one of the Forest skeletons had stabbed its arm root through one of the healers backs, killing the undefended C-rank
"I'll get the B-rank, 5 knights take care of the C-ranks, and get a tank to defend the mages, we can't lose any more of our party!" Mark shouted as he ran towards the lower-ranked monster while drawing his sword from his back and swinging down at the monsters head
The called for hunters moved instantly as they turned around and started attacking the monsters or defending the mages, who were still sending fireballs at the goblins, "They follow his commands without complaint, he must have done quite a few raids" Tiamat commented as she viciously crushed a goblins head in each hand
"True, he also seems to have high charisma" Y/N responded while doing the same as Tiamat. Mark was attacking the monster non-stop but it was blocking all his attacks with its root tentacles, "Aha!" Mark yelled in triumph as his sword cut through the locking appendage and went straight trough the monsters neck
The knights had finished clearing up the Forest skeletons with a larger wound being a large gash on one of their chests but it was quickly healed by a healer, "Can we keep moving or do you need a rest?" Y/N ask as he and Tiamat walked out the village carrying a mountain of mana crystals in their arms "Oh, and here you go" he said as they dropped the crystals into one of the knight's backpack
Mark looked at the full bag in shock before shaking his head and picking up the Escaries crystal and put it in his own pouch "I think we can keep going, but we will have to leave the dead mage behind and pick him up on the way out" he said as her walked off being followed by the rest of the hunters, some of which looked back at the dead mage in pity
"This is going to be interesting, pretty sure most of them will be dead by the end" Tiamat said, Y/N just nodded in agreement as they walked after the party
