Chapter 8

Thea

I walked and I walked until I arrived to the place I dreaded being seen and never thought I would ever go to again.

My father's house.

Looking up I find his newly renovated mansion, it looked more like a light academia castle to me. And I hate to admit it but it was utterly gorgeous.

Water was spewing out from either sides of the trail I was currently standing on. The outside woods caging it in, it even had its own cul-de-sac with a fountain sitting right in the middle, and the mansion itself was an easy average of $100 million dollar. That fucking rich bastard.

Ugh I hated him, I hated the fact he had a chance to live a good rich life, I hated that after all he put us through he got his redemption, I hate that he got a luxury life other people dreamt of and deserved but he had it without even trying, I hate that he left us, I hate that he didn't try harder to make it work with my mother which is may I add dead probably because of someone he messed with, I hate that he ruined my mother, and more than anything I hate that he ruined me for good.

He physically and mentally scarred me for life, he is the reason I go to sleep and wake up with the same intentions of killing myself. He broke me and it simply wasn't fair.

And then as I walked up the trail, I wondered how abnormal I must look standing outside of my father's house without any shoes, with a mix of makeup and tears staining my puffed up cheeks. And my father who may I add wants nothing but business to do with me.

I'm hoping he doesn't mind my appearance since he probably knows I don't come to him unless i'm really desperate.

And now was one of those rare occasions because I had nowhere to go, I couldn't go to my mother's house because it wasn't safe, and I've already been through plenty for today. And of course I couldn't go to Cordelia or Yasmin's house because they were drunk at the frat party, And Luna well her parents were very strict and it's way past her bedtime so she's most likely asleep by now.

It was already 3 am in the morning after all.

And there I was left again only this time I didn't blame her she got violated, she gave no consent, that fucking asshole. I wanted to rip out his skull the second I saw him over her lifeless passed out body.

When she got up and realized what he had done it was as if she finally broke inside, something about her changed completely. Her look was enough to spark a soul, and break a heart.

Then my phone started ringing..

So I knocked the door, waiting for a response.

And it opened, a security guard stepped out "what do you want whore" but I didn't even have the energy to say something back to him, so I just mumbled under my breath and nodded my head.

"did you not hear what I said" the voice spoke up again but this time he didn't wait for a response.

"boss come take care of this problem" he said moving further and further away from the door, the hard wooden floor cracking under his dress shoes.

Then he appeared.

The guy i've dreaded to see for as long as forever stood there staring, His cold eyes growing darker by the second as he finally recognizes that i'm no problem after all..

but his.

As soon as I saw the spark of emotion in his eyes the faster it had gone away.

Then I finally heard his voice.

Although I wish I hadn't.

"Why the fuck are you here in the middle of the morning"

But I was still in shock from the incident at the party so I slowly whispered "i- i'm" trying not to let the tears fall down.

"You're what, can't use that smart mouth of yours anymore huh?"

I don't know where the energy came from but I finally let go.

"You know what forget it why would I ever show weakness to you, you just a stuck up bitch who left his family because he couldn't handle the responsibility of being a father, all you can do is handle business but yet again you can't even handle that you use me as some sort person to do your missions for you because you're to scared you might die, why do you think someone is actually going to miss you, feel bad for you, well then you're already lost. So before you start calling me names, remember that i'm your daughter and that's where I get it from." by the end of my speech I was already out of breath.

So I turned around regretting ever coming here but that's not it, I did something I would most likely regret more but I had no choice, I had no one.

I called Kai.

"Kai" she chocked out my name.

But I didn't let her go too far "address?" I questioned. So she gave it to me, but I was surprised I mean why, why would she c- call me? But I didn't question it she has had a long day so I just drove.

Arriving at the address I find her passed out on a bench outside of a mansion, so I stepped out of my matte black car walking over to her. And it was only now up-close that I realize how beautiful she is.

Carrying her bridal style, I made sure I was careful not to drop her. I was holding her as if she was the most fragile thing in the world and like if I dropped her she would break into pieces, shattering onto the floor.

So I put her into the car carefully and adjusted her seatbelt, making sure not to wake her. And I decided I would take her to my house since my stepmother has a night shift on Sundays, I hope she's fine with it.

Waking up I waited till my eyes could dilate and my vision could un-blur. That's when I slowly began to see black black and black, the first thing I noticed was the sun peaking into the room from a white curtain. But rather than that it's was all black, then it hit me where the fuck am I? Then I started seeing things flashbacks from yesterday to be precise, I went to a party, my drink was spiked, and I g-

I didn't even get to finish remembering when he walks is, why the fuck is Kai here and what even is here. "good morning how are you feeling?" he questioned.

"Like shit and may I ask why am I here and better yet how did I even get here?"

"Shh shh get some more rest this conversation can wait" he said adjusting my blanket, and for a split second his his warm hand hovered over my shoulder. As it barely brushes past my shoulder I get another vision of Cameron, "NO NO GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME" I screamed to the top of my lungs slapping his hand away. Pain flashed in his eyes, but then he understood so he just calmed me down saying "i'm Kai don't worry that son of a bitch is dead" he said turning around making his way to the door.

"Wait" I called for him.

"Can y-you um please stay-" But before I got to finish he came over to the bedside and slid onto the floor laying down, he placed his hand on the side of the mattress for me to hold i'm assuming. And I wondered how uncomfortable this position may be for him but he didn't seem to mind, so I placed my hand in his shivers running up my spine. His cold rings making contact with my hot skin, and that was all I needed before I fell back into the allure of darkness I came from.
