she looked back at nate
hand on the wheel starring at the road
"when do you think i'll be able to get out of this town"
she groaned at him
"i don't know bailey"
he turned and gave her a sympathetic look
"some day"
he nodded and patted her hand
she smiled and looked straight

they had been driving for 3 hours
circling around the town they live in and hate

nate- what time is it
she checked her phone
bailey- 6:30
nate- you want dinner?
bailey-nah i'm good,not hungry
he nodded his head and pulled into his driveway
"i'll be right back,stay here,i'm going to get a snack,you sure you don't want anything?"
"yeah i'm good"
he nodded his head and shut the door and jogged into the house trying to dodge himself from the rain pouring down

she tilted her head back and looked out the window
she sighed
he came back and got in the truck
and drive off

"hey did you hear rue is back from rehab"
"yeah,i thought she died"
bailey looked at him "you're an idiot"
he laughed and she hit his arm

he drove into a target parking lot and parked the truck 
he turned to her
"what if we left? for a few days? get a hotel? not tell anyone where the fuck we're going. just leave." he asked her. so serious.

"i want to,but my mom"
"so tell her that you'll be with me for a few days. you don't have to tell her where. your mom never asks anyways. and besides everyone will start to figure it out anyways. neither of us at school for a week? obviously they'll put the pieces together. but we don't have to tell anyone where. no social media. no telling anyone. just me and you for 7 days. away from everything. we can act as if we're normal. for once? please, if you care you'll do this with me bailey"

there it is. the famous guilt tripping nate jacobs. nate knows how to get what he wants, whenever he wants it. and honestly good for him. i can't say no to this offer. it's everything i've ever wanted. i mean yes it's only going to last a week but who cares? i will cherish all seconds of that 7 days. leaving this town behind for 7 days is a dream. how could i say no to this?

he smirked
and turned his head straight ahead reversing his truck to drive away
