"what- i don't know what you're talking about"
i say. his face is close to mine, orange eyes looking back at me. i'm scared, i don't know this guy, he could hurt me.
"you know you little snake. trying to get dream to love you."
his eyes narrow at me, his eyebrows knitted together. i can feel myself shaking, my arms still pinned.
"i don't-i'm not"
i finally spit out, stuttering quite a bit.
"listen here, don't talk to dream or i'll find you, mmk?"
fundy's voice is laced with what feels like poison. his words sting and they hit a little too close to home. he releases my arms and walks off, holding his skateboard close.
my breath quickens as i hit the ground, falling with my knees to my chest. i rub my arms where they were pinned, red marks staining them.
panic floods my brain.
what do i do? i like hanging out with dream but fundy? fundy will hurt me, there is no doubt. what does that guy want and why does he care? shaking my head, i get up to walk home.
dream will be expecting a text i know, but i just can't. I have to stay away.
