Flashbacks (Kanera, Rexsoka)

For Emeraldmoon267,  I hope this is what you meant, it's a little more angsty than I wanted it to be and there isn't a lot of Rexsoka. I might do a part two for this if I feel like it...

Kanan didn't trust Rex, he really wanted to, especially after the way he had heard Rex talk about Ahsoka, but he just couldn't. Not after what had happened to his Master, his kind, smart, beautiful self-sacrificing Master.

Flashback begins:

"I need you to go, Caleb, do you understand? Take precautions not to be tracked and go as far away as possible, don't look back."

"What about you Master?" Young Caleb Dume doesn't miss the way his master's face darkens slightly.

"Don't worry about me Padawan, now go! I can sense them coming- "

She is cut off when a blaster bolt lands a little way away from them, she turns and gives him one last soft, loving look as he begins to run. Once he is a safe distance away, he turns and sees the silhouette of his Master clearly on the hilltop. Her lightsaber is a blur and her long dark hair whips in the wind. Caleb continues to watch, unable to rip his eyes away, finally, it becomes too much for even his Master, and one hits her directly in her chest. She blocks one more blaster bolt before she falls and to him, it looks like it's in slow motion. Caleb feels a tear trickle down his cheek as he watches the men, he considered his family continue to shoot the woman who is his Mother. As he watches his future as a Jedi disappear.

End of flashback.

"Kanan? Are you okay love?" Kanan snaps back to the present when he hears the soft voice of his mate calling his name.

"Mmhm, I'm fine- "

As usual, his love is far too perceptive for his own liking, "No, you're not, visions again?"

Her voice is soft and warm and Kanan sighs, "It's nothing I haven't seen before..."

"It's about Rex and the clones isn't it?"

There's no point in hiding it from her anymore even though she already knows so he nods slowly.

"Oh, Kanan..." It's Hera's turn to sigh now, "Ahsoka trusts him... More than trusts him actually" she smirks slightly.

"I know, but after what happened to her, I can't just let them walk right back into my life again without being overly cautious..."

"I understand Kanan, I really do. But I also think you should at least try and talk to Rex and Ahsoka..."

He grumbles before Hera gives him a look that he knows too well, "Fine..."

Hera smirks, knowing that she has won this one.

"Hold on, what did you mean when you said that Ahsoka more that trusts Rex?"

"Oh," Hera keeps smirking, there's a mischievous glint in her emerald green eyes. "I may or may not have caught them making out in the cockpit after you got back..."

"What?!"
