Chapter twenty-two: Ice Skating Rink

And now you were here. In a black, warm coat and with ice skates on your feet. You saw Levi, Nicole, Nora, and Carl getting ready to go onto the rink. You were kind of stressed because you're not the best ice skater(Sorry if you're actually a good ice skater) Levi helped Nicole tie her laces and you thought it was the cutest thing ever. Even though Nicole wasn't a big fan of Levi, in the last 7 hours she has taken a big liking to him. I mean, hell, they even played together. She also loves being in Levi's arms.

''Your boyfriend is really good with kids'' Carl said as he stood behind you

''He's not my boyfriend but yeah he is'' You said

''Well I don't kiss my friends in the middle of the kitchen with their family around'' Carl said with a big grin

''You act like you want me to be together with him'' You said scoffing

''Well, it wouldn't be bad. I won't mind if you would have a strong, handsome, polite man by your side to protect you. I just wanted to say, please, do what makes you happy'' He said in a serious tone

''Carl I-''

''Y/N, please, be selfish for once and stop thinking about others. You think about others all the time and look at how much pain you're in. Sometimes, it's good to be selfish'' He said patting your shoulder

You stood there and got lost in thought about what Carl just said. 

You were so lost in thought that you didn't feel Levi stepping closer to you

''Hey, you okay?'' Levi asked with Nicole in his arms

''Yeah, yeah'' You said with a fake smile

''Let's go aunty and Levi'' She said all excited

You got onto the ice and almost fell. You leaned on the corner of the rink and stood there for a second

''Okay, Y/N, you can do this'' You said to yourself

Then you looked up and saw Levi and Nicole ice skating together. They both are really, really good ice skaters. If you wouldn't know Levi, you would definitely say that he's a professional ice skater. You looked at Nora and Carl and they were just as shocked as you.

''Wow Y/N, you never told us your boyfriend is such a good ice skater'' Nora said

''Yeah, I look like an idiot'' Carl laughed

''I- I didn't know ether'' You said keeping your eye on Levi and Nicole

''Wow, that was great, uncle Levi!'' She said

Levi's eyes widened

''Oh sorry'' Nicole said embarrassed

''No, no it's okay! You're really good, kid '' He said patting her on the head

He noticed you staring and whispered something in Nicole's ear. She wawed her head in an agreeing manner and went to her mom. Levi skated to you and asked you to skate with him

''Sorry, I don't skate with show-offs'' You said

''I'm not a show-off. I just know how to do this and I want to be the cool uncle'' He said smiling

''Oh please, you think you're better than me?'' You asked

''Well, I'm a better ice skater and I think it's pretty obvious and I think Nicole likes me a lot'' He says

''So will you take my hand?'' He asked

''Okay'' You gave in and took him by his hand

He slowly started to skate not letting go of your hands.

 You almost fell but he caught you

''It's okay, I'm here for you'' He said

Those were the words you wanted to hear for so long. You never really heard anyone say those words. You wanted to go in for a kiss but then you were blinded by a flash. You looked at Nora who took a picture of the both of you

''I'M SORRY I JUST COULDN'T HOLD BACK! YOU LOOK SO CUTE TOGETHER'' She screamed

You and Levi just laughed. After some skating, you went to your rooms to get dressed and get ready for dinner. As you walked downstairs with Levi, you saw Nora, Nicole, and Carl waiting for you. The table was full of food in front of you. All of you sat down and started to eat making small talk.

''Y/N, have you thought of what you're going to do now?'' Carl asked

''I'm going to try and find a job and then time will show'' You sad

''And how about you, Levi?'' Carl asked

''Oh, umm, my mom and uncle own a company so I will take over that soon'' He said

''So you must be really intelligent '' He said

''I won't say that I'm really intelligent but-''

''What are you talking about! He's so, so smart! He helped me so many times and he understood everything that we were studying after just 10 minutes. He almost had a 100% at his exams'' You said

''Oh really, that's great sweety'' Nora said

''Oh, umm, I'm sorry'' She apologized looking at Levi

''Oh, no, no it's okay'' Levi said

Levi has never taken praise and compliments well but you all continued to eat and talk about school and other hobbies. Levi and Carl started talking about business stuff. 

When you finished eating, you went to bed because you were really tired. Soon you heard Levi get in the room and flop next to you on the bed.

''How was it?'' You asked turning to face him

''It was okay. Your uncle is a smart man'' He said

''Yeah he is and so are you'' You said as you kissed him

''Whatever''
