Museum-
Annabelle and Steve walk in to the museum, hand in hand. They were going to see their own past... from somebody else's point of view. It was hard for them to get themselves here, they didn't know whether they should come. But in the end they decided it was best that they did, after all, they've got to see what they got right and what they got wrong.
Annabelle and Steve still didn't feel safe in this new world so to make sure that they wouldn't get split they tended to hold hands, everywhere. They still hadn't checked out their apartment as they've been at the SHIELD base for a while getting debriefed and having a quick catch up lesson.
Steve was nervous more than anything, he knew nothing about what was going on in this new world. All he knew was that it had been 70 years and the only person he had left was Annabelle... and he would do anything to make sure that the two of them were safe.
Annabelle however felt grief. When they crashed into the ice she thought she would be reunited with her lover once again, but that wasn't the case. She survived the crash and was now living in this strange new world... and she only had Steve by her side.
When they walked in they immediately heard a voice over the radio. They'd gone into Steve's section first as it was the closest.
-A symbol to the nation, a hero to the world. The story of Captain America is one of honour, bravery and sacrifice. Denied enlistment, due to poor health, Steven Rogers was chosen for a program unique in American warfare. One that would transform him into the world first Super Soldier. Captain America and his Howling Commando's, quickly earned their strikes, their mission to take down HYDRA, the nazi rogue science division.-
Steve quickly pulled them out of his room, not wanting to hear the rest of his own story. They'd walked into a room that was labelled 'Bucky Barnes'. They walked in and saw a smaller room but the room was still full of pictures and information about his called friend.
-Best friends since childhood Bucky Barnes and Steven Rogers were inseparable on both school yard and battlefield. Barnes is the only Howling Commando to give his life in service of his country and his love, who till this day, remains unknown-
A tear escapes Annabelle eye and Steve just wipes it away before laying his forehead on hers. He knew that she was still grieving Bucky, how couldn't she? To her he had died around two weeks ago, not 70 years ago. The wound was still fresh and he could tell that it still cut deep.
"I miss him, too." Steve
"He's all on his own up there." Annabelle
Annabelle looked up and blinked away the tears, she can't cry... not in public. It would draw too much attention toward them.
"I know." Steve
Steve kisses her forehead and begins walking, pulling her out of there. He didn't want to be in there any longer than she did, still feeling the grief over the loss of his friend.
"Come on, sweetheart. Let's go in here." Steve
Steve pulls Annabelle into a room where a video started playing. They both see Peggy on the screen and smile, remembering their best friend and lover. This had to have been taken just after they'd 'died', she looked young. Just like she had when they went on that mission. She began speaking and they listened intently to what she had to say.
<that was a difficult winter, a blizzard had trapped half of our battalion behind the German lines. Steve- Captain Rogers he fought his way through a HYDRA blockade that had pinned our allies down for months. He saved over 1,000 men including the man who would become my husband, as it turned out. Even after he died, Steve Rogers was still changing my life. Not many people know this but he was one of my best friends, as was Captain Annabelle Scott, the first female Captain and Bucky Barnes, a member of the Howling Commando's. The four of us were practically inseparable ever since we met and within a month, I'd lost all three of them. I will never forget the memories I had with them and I know that when I pass we will be reunited once more.>
