It was a perfect normal day at Heartland Academy as Students fill the hallway of the school, chatting to one another. Expect for one person. Yuma fall to sleep during class, leaving both Tori and Sakura to tried and wake him up, much to their annoyance
"Yuma....wake up. Ten thousand Kurioboh are coming to get you" Sakura said as she shook him by his shoulder, as the boy rubbed his eyes, ignoring the older female.
"Can you try, Tori?" Sakura asked her
"Sure thing" Tori replied to her.
"There was a unicorn in the.....eeeyyyggghh!" Yuma woke up, tired from his sleep, only for Tori to pinched his cheek as she pull it, only to let it go after Yuma shrieked
"Owwww!" Yuma shouted as he hold his cheek before returning his attention to Tori. "What is your problem?" He asked his green haired friend
"Class is over. Thought you should know" Tori answer him, with a annoyed tone in her voice as she picked up her bag and place it on the desk
"Oh? So it is?" Yuma said as he look around the deserted classroom.
"No, they were taken by a dueling ghost.You need to focus more, otherwise Kari will hunt you down" Sakura said
"You're hopeless" Tori told him, agreeing with Sakura in the process
"All right! Time to find someone to duel!" Yuma exclaimed as he was ready to face someone, in order to get better with his dueling skills and experience as he hope he would become a professional duelist and most important - be ready incase Kite come back and face them for their numbers and their souls
"Slow down. We assume that you was knock out cold when Mr.Kay make the announcement about tomorrow class" Sakura asked him
"Uh...tomorrow Saturday?" Yuma replied as he was confused about what happening tomorrow
"Where has you been Yuma? Tomorrow is School spirit day" Tori replied to him as Bronk enter the classroom
"Hey Tori! Which one of your parents are you dragging here tomorrow, cause I was thinking..." Bronk stopped whatever it is that he was saying when he saw both Yuma and Sakura there. "Uh,sorry about you guys" He apologise to them
"Don't worry about it. Whatever" Yuma replied "There no way to be awkward around me. Hahaha" He added as he fake laugh
"It okay, Bronk. I know you didn't mean it" Sakura said

After school:
The duo consist of Sakura and Yuma were walking their way home from school on the park path that was near the placid river
"Ugh. I wish that I could skip out on School Spirit day" Yuma groaned as Sakura shake her head at him. The golden pendant around Yuma neck glow just as Astral materialize infront of them
"Spirits day sound like it involves Phantoms and Ghosts" Astral replied
"It when our partners come to class to see our teachers teach and to see how we're doing and stuff" Yuma explain to the confuse Astral
"But your parents aren't around right now" Astral told Yuma
"Yeah. It could be any member of the family. I'll get Kari or grandma to come" Yuma told Astral as Sakura dragon pendant began to glow as Anubis appear before her
"So. What are you and the two-toned haired monkey talking about?" He asked her
"Oh that. We were talking about School spirit day. It were we take our parents or family into school tomorrow and they'll see how our teachers teach us, how we do our work and also dueling" Sakura explain to her spirit guardian of a sort
