I slowly turned around only to come face to face with the handsome green haired male, who was currently facing me with his arms crossed and one eyebrow raised. I swallowed and ran my eyes over his face, taking in his clear green eyes and chiseled face, he smiled and I nearly swallowed my tongue. Get it together!.

I coughed and took my eyes off his face, all at once my royal persona came back and I smiled at him. Before I was able to say anything however, he dissolved into a cloud of smoke and I found myself in the middle of tall green hedges.

It didn't take long for me to realize it was a maze after hitting the fourth dead end. It was also filled with death traps as I had nearly avoided falling into a pool of lava, dodged a swinging axe and nearly getting skewered by long and pointy nails.

I drew a deep breath in an effort to calm down, after all I once was an outstanding CEO, I could do this if I set my mind to it. My calm was broken when his voice sounded. Laughter surrounded me from all sides, seeming to come from somewhere and nowhere all at once.

I gritted my teeth as he talked " need some help?"

" Help?, why did you even put me here in the first place" I said calmly, a princess must never loose her cool, one of the lessons mother had taught me during the past weeks.

He laughed again " for fun of course."

Did he really toss a princess into a maze for his own entertainment?, being a male wouldn't protect him if I decided to beat him up.

I huffed and carefully made my way to the entrance of the maze, following the markings I had previously left on the grass walls. I had once heard that always taking the right turn in a maze can lead you out of it, guess it's time to find out how true that statement was. I walked into the maze again this time avoiding all the left turns therefore also avoiding God knows what traps, and soon I came out of the other end.

I crossed the bridge and reached the pavilion, it was as beautiful as I remembered, though I was unable to take in its full appeal as my sight was set on the green haired guy who was sitting in the open area of the pavilion. I walked in and stared at the table before me, it was filled with little cakes and and a pitcher of lemonade. The male was sitting there, enjoying his cakes without a care in the world. The sight made me furious. I strode over to him and calmly sat down opposite him.

" Hello I'm princess amaryllis Silvester", " I know who you are" he said before focusing back on his cakes. I waited for him to continue and he said" come on, you've been looking for this place haven't you?". I blinked and controlled the urge to lean into the table, it was bad manners as the table was filled with food " you knew about that?". He looked at me without saying anything.

"excuse me what's your name?" I couldn't keep calling him ' green haired male'.

He ignored my question and pointed to the cakes, I looked at him and huffed before turning my attention to the cakes.

Who is he?, Was there ever a character like this in the book?, I'm not even sure as my memories of the original book have started fading thank God I wrote down the important parts when I just got here. I can't be too sure but I think he's-

"Darius" my thoughts were cut off and I turned to face him, he swallowed the last bite of his cake and flashed a smile at me. "Prince Darius of the fairy kingdom." I smiled in return pretending he hadn't just nearly trapped me in a maze and stared at him.

I expected as much there was only one such character from the book, the enthusiastic happy go lucky mischievous prince.

"Why am I here?" If he knew I was looking for this place and deliberately kept me from finding it only to bring me here himself, he must have a motive, not to mention the maze. He leaned forward and I raised an eyebrow, " the same reason you were in the maze, I wanted to know if you were entertaining".
