chapter 9

A week flew by since the incident with the red gate. Using the daily quests to upgrade our stats. Today though Jin and I decided to conquer the castle.

"You two don't go out as often these days. And now suddenly going on a trip." 

"We'll be gone for a week." Grabbing our bags as I put my shoes on at the door. Of course, Jin-ah teased us about being alone together for so long which annoyed us.

Back in the fire pits, a tall tower-like structure stood. We took one last look at each other before opening the door that stood before us.

"Jeong Ji-Soo can you sense any monsters." Shaking my head no we move more in the hallway. "Is it just a hallway?

[Normal quest: collect demon's souls! {part 1}
Demon castle is filled with demons. Hunt down demons and collect their souls for special rewards.

"How do they expect us to get their souls if we can't even find the monsters. Hey, be careful!" I skipped ahead to the new door in our way. Opening it before Jin could even warn me.  "A field-type?" 

Eyes wide as he peers into the land beyond the door. It looks like Korea but demolished and in flames. Very few buildings still remained intact. "I didn't expect the dungeon to be a field type. Finally, in the field, the heat from the fire hitting me. I'm very confused about how he can withstand this heat in a jacket. Monster spawned in the distance down the road we stood on. 

[ You can obtain one soul per demon, But there are demons with multiple souls on upper floors.] 

Jin dropped our bags on the floor next to him. "Will a week be enough." To be frank, No. You spent like 3 weeks on this thing. Taking off in a blur and leaving me in the dust. Sometimes I wonder if he really cared about me when he does this.

Waiting for him to finish the monsters nearby before walking up to him with the phone in hand.

'It counts the souls one of us collects to both of our systems.'

"What do you mean?" 

'Even if one of us does all the fighting it will count to both of our system." Keepin gthis fact in mind we were able to get through our soul quickly but not fast enough. We still have a long way to go. One of the mosters dropped a entry permit for the next level. Giving the area one more look around to make sure there are no monsters left before using the permit. A strong wave of energy went up my body. Something changed. There was ment to be a large beam of light to the next level. The beam sould be on that hill right over there.

Taking a few steps to it, more energy flowed through me. Taking steps back made me feel normal again. Pacing back a forth before making sure.

" Did this thing work? Ji-Soo what are you doing? Did it make you frits out or something?" Can he not feel this energy. It presence is overwhelming to say the lease. I pointed at the mountain, the very mountain its ment to be on so I know its the gate. "What's over there? Any monster-type soldiers, come out." The leader of the ice bears came out and we hopped on its back like if it was a horse.  The back was to broad to sit on it like a horse so Jin criss cross his legs while I rapped my arms and legs around him, nuzzling into his back. "You good there." Feeling my head he stopped questioning it. Giving the monster the command to the mountain we started moving. 

I thought we got rid of all the monsters on this level but apparently not when 6 more appear on the road. The beast took initsutive and ran through the mosters. "You're'tank' from now on! DOnt stop till you hit the top of that mountain." He looked back at me a bit, "Top of the mountain?" Feeling me nod he turned back forward. "To the top of the mountain!"
