chapter 20

A hospital. Again. If the strong smell of antibiotics didn't tell me that enough then the sound of Jin running into my room with Yu following after. "Ji-Soo!" I want to look at Jin but my eyelids seem too tired for that. I need to explain everything to him. 

I'm so in love that even when I can't wake up he's the only thing in my head. "Ji-Soo." His voice is more quite but closer than before.

"I told you. She hasn't woken up yet." 

"That doesn't make sense though. She took it easy since she wasn't strong enough to continuously break the statues. She's better in agility than strength." My hand started to heat up all of a sudden.

Jin's right, why can't I wake up? Did I get the Enternal sleep disorder? Please no. "Come on Hyung-nim. Let her rest." Silence fell upon the room. Jin, don't leave me here.

"Jin!" Bolting up from the bed, screaming in a cold sweat. My heart racing as if I had a nightmare. My eyes stung as they readjust to the bright light in the room. Jin was holding my left hand close to him. "I want out of here." Using my right hand to pull any cords from my arms and cover off my legs. I was still in my rugged clothing from the raid. Yu was about to protest till I interrupted him, "I will heal on my own. There's a reason there isn't a single cut on me." 

"Fine." 

Signing the release paper with my new name Ji-Soo. "Now that I think about it there are only 2 records of my old name in this world." 

"What two records is that," Jin asked next to me as we walked to the car. Getting in and buckling in before answering. 

"The hospital paper is signed when I got here and the hunter's license I took to meet you again. After you gave me a name I quickly changed it the next day. The girl at the desk sucked to work with though."

1 hour passed till made it to my lovely couch. Jin grabbed the remote from the mini table, flipping it to the news about the gate. Jin-ah came out of her room behind us, telling us to not go. Jin-ah looked different than the novel told. In the novel, she's depressed and lifeless while now she's worried and scared about gates topics. 

Jin walked out of the house leaving me with Jin-ah who's retreating to her room. Calling a cab to the office since I normally have Jin drive me places. 

Took 2 and half hour till Jin came walking in saying we are going to Japan.

"You saw the news! It's on a completely different scale to jejudo! There has never been such a gigantic monster before Hyung-nim!"

"If I succeed the fame of the Ahjin guild will spread across the world."

"Ji-Soo You have to talk him out of it." Sipping on the drink I got at the convenience store before Jin came. When it left my lips I erupted into giggles. 

"I'm sorry, I thought you have realized this but it seems I'm wrong. I can see the future if you don't see me worrying about it then it will be fine. And besides Jin and I are in the top 15 strongest hunters in the whole world right now. It's to the point Thomas Andre the leader of the scavenging guild can't even lay a finger on Jin after he stops this gate. Yeah, it takes a while but he managed to stop it then so why not now. If Jin and I can't stop something then this whole world is fu##ed."

Yu let out a long-drawn-out sigh as he realizes he lost this argument. "Fine but I'm coming with you. The red gate incident, the jejudo raid, and the recent double dungeon too. Do you know what all these have in common? It's that I'm nowhere to be found in any of them Hyung-nim, Noona!" He pulls a news clipping out of nowhere about me and Jin. "The only thing I can brag about in front of others is that I'm always by your side! It's embarrassing to say this myself, but you two are my source of pride."
