Unexpected Love

Chapter 36.

4 years later after the battle of Hogwarts...

"Mummy where are my shoes"

"Go ask daddy sweetie" I smiled at the young one in-front of me. 'Cassandra remus Prince' or 'Cassie' for short. I had fallen pregnant not long after the battle of Hogwarts. We moved to a small cottage in a place called 'Inverness' which is a small city in Scotland. Our cottage was not near any other houses, it is very peaceful. The cottage is not big nor small it is just right. It is built of stone and is situated on the very edge of a small lake. I need not tell you how beautiful and tranquil it is around the cottage from early spring to late winter.

Cassie is only 3 1/2 years old. She inherited most of Severus's features and a few of mine but she reminded me more of Severus than myself. She had beautiful chocolate brown hair and gorgeous hazel eyes which was a deep honey colour in the sun and She also had a small Hooked nose.

Severus was such a good father. He never got angry at Cassie when she did something wrong, he was the most loving father anyone could ask for. Whenever Cassie woke up with nightmares Sev would stay up with her and hold her in his arms like he used to do with me until she fell back asleep. He always reads story's to her and sings small songs when she has trouble sleeping.

I rummaged through my room to get some clothes for today as I was going to see Taylah and Cora as I haven't seen them for a few months. I have texted them quite often and taylah says she has a surprise for us all and to be honest I dread to think about what it is.
We was all meeting at a small cafe only a couple of hours from where me, Severus and Cassie lived therefore we was going to stay over at a small hotel for the night. I walked over to my small side table at my side of the bed to try find my Woolly hat that Severus bought me for my 21st birthday, it was a beautiful woven deep red hat.
As I looked through my draw my hand glided against a rather cold object, I knew exactly what it was. I grabbed the object bringing it into view. "Remus's wand" I said to myself as I smiled sadly. Even through it was just over 4 years ago I still thought about the war and how it affected everything, I know I really need to let it go but I will never forget what happened that day and what Remus sacrificed for me. I twirled the wand in my hand tracing a finger down the stem of the wand looking at the beautiful design once again.

"Celia" Severus shouted my name from the living room. Taking me out of my trance as I placed his wand onto the bedside table "Yes sev, did you find Cassie's shoes?" I questioned slowly trudging towards the room. "No the little rascal has lost them" He laughed as I heard a little scream of joy coming from Cassie that filled the house.

As I made it to the living room I walked in to find Severus lifting Cassie in the air with both his hands spinning her around. "Severus be careful" I warned crossing my arms while I Lent against the doorframe looking at them both. Don't get me wrong, it is so cute to see them bonding but last time Severus spun her around she nearly ended up getting a wallop on the head as he didn't calculate how far away the dining room table was. "She loves it Celia" Severus smirked while gently putting Cassie back onto the ground. "I remember where my shoes are now" Cassie squealed running off down the hallway.

"She really loves you Severus, your such a good father" I smiled kindly pulling Severus to my side and wrapping my hands around his neck. "And you Miss Prince are the best mother anyone could ask for" Severus cooed planting his lips to my forehead.
"I love you" I responded putting my hand and entangling it in his hair pulling him forward to meet his lips. Severus replied against my mouth "I love you also" our tongues moved in motion with each other's, longing to taste more. Severus brought his hands down to my waist slowly pushing his hands under my shirt leaving goosebumps as his fingers went higher.

"Ew Mummy and daddy kissing" Cassie grimaced giggling to herself as she held her shoes in her small hands. Severus smiled against my lips before pulling away and picking Cassie up placing her on a chair to help with her shoes. "Will there be other children" Cassie questioned in her usual soft tone kicking her legs as Severus tried to tie her laces. "Yes Cassie, Auntie Cora has a child around the same age as you" I gave her a smile while watching Severus struggle to tie her laces as she continued swinging her legs around. "I like Auntie Cora" Cassie squealed. "And Auntie Taylah will be there" I added on. "Have I met her mummy?" Cassie asked chewing on a strand of hair that fell in-front of her face. "When you was much younger" I explained. "Cassie Darling could you stop kicking your legs so I can tie your laces" Severus asked in a tender tone. "Sorry daddy" Cassie frowned. "No darling don't worry" Severus reassured her as he finished up tying her shoes.

"Are we all ready to go" I asked picking up Cassie in my arms and grabbing our bags that we needed to stay the night. Cassie played with pieces of my hair as we walked towards our car that was parked on a little gravel drive way lined with conifers. When we first moved to Inverness I had to learn how to drive as me and Severus used apparation for transport but when Cassie came along it wasn't that practical. I decided it was best to learn to drive, I got the hang of it pretty quickly but Severus on the other hand finds it rather difficult not to mention how he nearly drove it into the conifers on the driveway.

"Is Cassie all clicked in" I directed the question to Severus as he entered the passenger seat beside me. "Yes she is all strapped in" Severus replied putting a piece of hair behind my ear. "Let's go then" I said happily as we pulled of the drive.

After a good couple of hours driving with Cassie getting a good sleep on the way we finally arrived at our destination. The little cafe was situated on a beach with a small hotel just down the road.

"CELIA" I heard a far to familiar voice boom behind me. Hastily turning around I noticed Cora running up to me before embracing me in a tight hug causing me to forget how to breath. "I've missed you Celia" she let out still wrapping her arms around my chest. "Cora can't breath" I exhaled as she loosened her grip slightly. "Sorry" she chuckled. "Just excited" she smiled finally letting go. "Where is Ally?" I asked looking for her daughter. "Oh sam has taken her into the cafe already" she responded looking over my shoulder to see Severus lifting Cassie out her car seat. "Hey Severus" She shouted a bit to loud at Severus while she was rapidly waving her hand. I saw Severus roll his eyes making me chuckle. He still hasn't got used to Cora and Taylah calling him by his first name. "Have you seen Taylah, she said she has a surprise and I'm slightly scared" I laughed. "Oh it's her man, apparently she has been going out with him for a few years but weird how she never mentioned him" Cora explained. "Yeah that's odd I wonder who it is" I shrugged my shoulders locking the car before walking with Cora towards the cafe as Severus carried Cassie in his arms behind us.

"Hey Sam" I smiled at Cora's partner. "Hey Ally" I waved at her adorable child playing with some napkins. "Hi auntie Celia" she babbled. Sam nodded as we all took our seats. Severus sat down next to me placing Cassie on his knee as we all awaited Taylah and her mystery partners arrival.
Around 15 more minutes had passed when we heard a car door slam outside the cafe hastily turning around I saw Taylah skipping up towards the door with her partner trailing closing behind her.

"Is that-" Severus started. "Yes that is him" I cut him off as I gaped my eyes.
