Erick watched as Ray's chest rose and fell at a steady rhythm from the chair in the corner of the hospital room. Her hand, decorated with the hospital bands, lay protectively on her 7 month bump that was covered by the hospital gown. He felt the burning knot in his chest begin to grow as he examined his wife's body before shooting up and walking into the hallway. He swung his arms, breathing out as an attempt to calm himself down but it wasn't working.

All the thoughts, the what ifs were running overtime and repeatedly in his head as he made up scenarios of what could have happened to both Ray and the baby had it not been Braxton hicks. Erick was so in his head he hadn't heard Ray's mother calling for him until Sienna pulled on his dress pants.

"Erick" Ray's mother said soothingly "Awe c'mere"

Opening her arms she let Erick fall into her embrace, the cuban finally letting all his frustrations and his fears out on his mother in laws shoulder. Sienna confused at her fathers sudden cries hugged his leg in attempts to make him feel better

"i'm so scared" Erick sniffed
"I know, i know you are but i need you to not be" Ray's mom said taking his face into her hands "i know this is all scary, it's all new, you're young but Ray is a strong woman trust me she can do this but she needs you to be strong. You see her making jokes and laughing but inside she's just as scared as you, she doesn't want to disappoint you or lose your first child"
"But-
"But nothing. Both me and your mother are nothing but proud of the both of you for staying committed to each other, for loving each other and best of all for bringing this precious baby into the world which you are undoubtedly going to love" Ray's mother interrupted "now gather yourself up, it's okay to cry, but grab your man balls and be strong for your wife or better yet for that little seed that's going to call you dad"
"Thank you ma" Erick smiled
"It's a pleasure son" Ray's mom smiled warmingly giving him a kiss on the forehead
"Papa" Sienna said in a small voice holding up the princess tissues Ray had packed in her bag which was still on her back "tissue?"
"Thank you mamas" Erick smiled picking her up "Wanna go see mami?"
"Yes mami!" Sienna yelled jumping in Erick's arms
"Shhhh" Erick laughed placing a finger to his lips causing Sienna to mimick him and quiet down

Zabdiel walked quietly behind Aaliyah who was preparing the twins bottles and wrapped his arms around her waist, sighing in content as she leaned back into his touch. They stood there in complete silence just soaking up the moment until Aaliyah finished and turned in his embrace

"Who did you leave the twin's with?" Aaliyah asked
"Erick's mom" Zabdiel said "she was completely okay, with telling the twins about the latest gossip that's going on in her neighbourhood"
"Oh is that so?" Aaliyah giggled
"Yeah apparently Maria's grandson got busted with drugs but he says it's Anikas son, which makes no sense porque-
"Mi amor" Aaliyah giggled cutting him off
"huh?" Zabdiel asked
"You seem to be as carried away by it as the twins" Aaliyah said before laughing
"Don't laugh" Zabdiel whined "i miss it when you used to share gossip with me"
"There is no more gossip, you live with the bloody people" Aaliyah smiled up at him "unless you wanna hear about Aleesha's grey vagina hair"
"Hard pass baby" Zabdiel said scrunching his nose up in disgust

Erick's mother walked into the kitchen, leaning against the doorframe as she witnessed Aaliyah and Zabdiel goof off while standing bu the kitchen counter. She cleared her throat making Zabdiel jump a foot away from Aaliyah

"You know you're allowed to touch your wife" Erick's mother teased "the twins are both knocked out dead"
"Did you ever get to the bottom of Ricky and Rachel?" Zabdiel asked
"Come let me tell you what happened!" Erick's mother said moving to turn the kettle on
"And that's my que" Aaliyah said pointing to the living room

She gave Zabdiel a kiss on the cheek and made her way to Richard and Aleesha's room to find Aleesha typing at her laptop. She stopped when her best friend entered the room and sat on the bed

"Erick's mom stole my husband" Aaliyah pouted flopping on the bed
"I think i want a baby" Aleesha blurted out
"You can have one of mine" Aaliyah said
"No my own" Aleesha said
"Take a hard pass, they arn't fun to have" Aaliyah recommend
"Aaliyah i'm being serious" Aleesha said
"Who said i wasn't?" Aaliyah asked

Before Aleesha could answer Richard walked into the room holding his phone in his hand
"Sup" He greeted giving Aleesha a kiss on the cheek
"Your wife wants a baby" Aaliyah said casually
"Would not recommended" Richard said charging his phone "seen Aaliyah spit up on Yocelyn, not a cute sight"
"Theo's peed on Zabdiel" Aaliyah listed
"Imagine getting slapped by a dirty diaper" Richard added
"You know what? i should have kept that to myself" Aleesha said slapping her laptop shut

She got up and walked out of the room, being sure to slam the door, waking the twins up

"I'm gonna make her pay for that" Aaliyah said to Richard
"I know you are" Richard sighed
