"5, 6, 7, 8." and the music starts. The improv section has started.
I don't really know who the other Jazz dancers are since they split up the auditions based on the type of dance we do. Since Brooklynn does acro, she isn't with me during my audition.
This is the best dance company in Ohio. They have won regionals 3 times and Nationals once. If I don't make the team, I don't know what I'll do.
Once the improv round is done, they put us into choreo with a style we aren't usual with. Im not very usual with Hiphop so they put me there.
While i'm performing i'm doing the most turns I have done in a while. It doing leaps and splits. Im doing back handsprings and front walkovers.
Once im done, I step into line with my fellow jazz dancers.
After about 10 minutes of thinking and taking notes, Ms. Lauren, the studio head, comes out. "Brooke, Katie, Zara, and Luke. You have made it to the choreo round. Congratulations."
When she says that, I am overjoyed. I just hope Brooklynn made it as well.
