(Y/N): Come on. Come on. Come on. Damnit.
I was trying to use telekinesis to move a book, but it was hopeless. I sat on my bed in defeat. I heard a knock on my door and before I could react it opened to reveal my average looking parents. Now in truth my parents were far from average they were both famous superheroes. My dad had the power of telekinesis and my mom's power was disaster manipulation which meant she could control or create natural disasters. I heard once when she was little she accidentally created a volcano in her parents backyard. There are plenty of superheroes in our world and they have children who need to be taught how to become great heroes or sidekicks. That's why there are schools like Sky High where I go with my best friend Layla. The school divides us into superheroes or sidekicks based on our powers, unfortunately even though I have two superhero parents I don't have any powers. Needless to say my parents weren't happy about it, but they did their best to hide it. The only thing that made school bearable was Layla; she had awesome nature powers, but chose to become a sidekick because she disagrees with the system. With that all said it brings us back to my parents at my door.
(M/N): Good morning sweetie. I hope you slept well and Layla is in the kitchen waiting for you.
She came over and gave a kiss on the cheek. I grabbed my bag and left for the kitchen to see Layla waiting with a smile just for me.
Layla: Gooding Morning.
(Y/N): Morning. What has you in such a good mood?
Layla: What has you in such a bad one?
(Y/N): Same old same old.
Layla: Listen it's been 3 months since power placement I don't want to say it, but maybe you don't have powers. It doesn't matter though you are an amazing person that I love and powers wouldn't change that.
