(I pull him to an alleyway type area of the school, you can walk along the gap between the two buildings and get behind it, nobody really knows where it is so we won't be disturbed or interrupted.)

(Karl's POV)
We stared at each other for what felt like hours, my hand still holding his. I'm lost in his eyes, an unreadable look staring back. There are so many different emotions racing through my head but I block everything out... I focus on one.

We start to gravitate towards one another, his hand finding my cheek, I lean into his touch and blink slowly. There is barely any space between us at this point, He whispers to me:
"Can I kiss you?"
I giggle and bite my lip, our foreheads pressed together. I look him straight in the eyes and he knows that means yes. I throw my arms around his neck and he snakes his own around my waist, we couldn't be any closer if we tried.

(3rd person POV)
The school bell rings but neither of them hear it. They're to wrapped up in the sensation of each other, as if nothing else matters in the world.

(Nick's POV)
As soon as I feel our lips connect it's like completing a puzzle, the last piece has been slotted into place. Every time our lips almost touched, it was infuriating at the time but definitely worth it for this. It was as if everything that has ever happened between us from the moment we met has been preparing us for this moment and I couldn't be happier. The feeling of his lips against mine was euphoric and I felt the need to pinch myself, I have to be sure i'm not dreaming. We pull away but only because we're slightly oxygen deprived.
"Pinch me" I mutter, breathless. He smiles at me and I get butterflies, his smile is so genuine and joyful, it's contagious. He leans in again and I meet him halfway, I hope this never ends.
"I have an idea" I whisper mischievously. I grab him by the hand and intertwine our fingers.

★Timeskip 20 minutes★

(3rd person POV)
The two boys have ditched school and are running down the street laughing, with their hands still locked together. Unbeknownst to Karl, Nick is taking him on an unofficial date. After a while, the arrive at the entrance of a cutesy, retro style diner near the school.

(Karl's POV)
We're stood on the doorstep of an adorable little diner, I'm staring in awe at the food displayed aesthetically in the window. Before I know it, we're inside and sitting in a secluded corner booth, I turn to Nick with stars in my eyes. He leans towards me and our lips connect for the 3rd time today, I smile into the kiss and slowly pull away. I feel like I'm on top of the world.

★Timeskip (after the date)★

(Nick's POV)
After a lengthy debate about who should pay for the food, we split the bill and left the diner. We are now walking down the street again, slowly this time, fingers still tied together. Karl's head is resting peacefully on my shoulder, he's looking up at the sky and pointing things out to me. He looks at me and asks,
"What're you thinking bout?"
"You" I reply casually.
He hides his face in my arm, he's blushing so hard I can practically feel the heat radiating from his cheeks. We eventually find a little wooden bench and sit down together, his head on my shoulder and my face in his hair.
"I love you Karl" I mutter as I place a chaste kiss into his hair. He lifts his head off my shoulder and our eyes lock. He leans his forehead against mine and whispers
"I love you too" before planting several sweet kisses all over my face.

A/N: Hey guys I'm so sorry for not updating last week, in all honesty I totally forgot :(
Please accept this chapter to make up for it, they finally actually kissed! no more suspense. I was just listening to AJR songs on repeat while writing this (highly recommend) ahah.
I've really enjoyed writing things for you guys so I will definitely continue to make more stories
