Chapter 4

Frankie's POV
It's about 5:35 in the morning when me and Ari arrive home. Not a word is spoken from both of us when we walk into my house. I help Ari get her bags into her room then, go back to my room. I think to myself, "might as well stay up, I mean, I have to get up in a half hour anyways."

I look over at my nightstand and grab my phone

New message (unknown): Hey, it's Zach, am I still coming to your house tomorrow?
How did he get my number? Cody or someone from school must have given him my number or something. I'm still not sure how Cody even got my number?

Sent from Frankie: Yeah, about the whole tutoring thing... I cant sorry:(

I really can't help tutor him. As much as I would like to, I don't think my Mum would be happy about seeing Zach at my house agian

Sent from Zach:Why not?

I'm surprised he actually answered this late, or should I say early. His text to me was sent around midnight but not 5:00?
I decide not to answer him and just try to get some sleep but, as soon as I'm about to fall asleep Ari bursts into my room
Ari:What's the wifi password?
I groan and sit up on my bed, turning my night stand on
Frankie:Ask mom or something!
Ari:Sorry! I was just asking.
Ari slowly walks out of my room. I call out "close the door!" But, like always, she dosent listen.

"Your gonna miss the bus!" I hear my mum call out. I put my shoes on and run out the door, just in time for the bus. Thankfully, the bus stop is right next to my house, so I don't have to walk far. As I make my way on the bus, I notice my only friend, Briana. Briana lives about two houses from my house. She always comes over to my house and talks about how amazing 'Conner Franta' is. Half of the time I don't really listen but, I try to listen a bit so I don't lose my one friend. I was about to sit next to Briana but then I noticed she was sitting next to her boyfriend, Trevor. Trevor is a nice guy, but for some reason we just don't quite see eye to eye. So, instead I sit in the very back, where nobody is. Before I can make my way to my seat, I fell a foot trip my up. Before I knew it, I was on the ground with everyone laughing at me. I look up and see Cody and his "Amazing" girlfriend Victoria. I see someone running to help me, I blink and see...Zach? What surprises me even more is that he's not afraid to help me, not even the slightest bit hesitant to help. I mumble a small "thanks..." and walk back to where I was going to sit, but this time, Zach followed me to the empty seat. I take a seat, followed by Zach. At first, it's really awkward since he's just sitting there looking at me. He's the first to speak up
Zach:Why can't you tutor me?
Frankie:Erm, my mom dosent like me ah coming home late... or with anyone
Zach:Oh... Just tell her your helping out at the school every day after school and we can go to my house
I never really thought about it, but I think that can work
Frankie:Ill text her
I pull out my phone and open it but, when the screen pops up it goes straight to a book I was reading earlier
Zach:What's that?
I exit out of it right away and text mom
Frankie:Nothing! And just texted mom
Zach:Ok?
The rest of the ride is silent, the seats start filling up quickly with kids rushing to find a seat so, they don't have to be a "left hand joey". Basically, if your a third person on a seat and your basically falling of the chair, everyone calls you a left hand Joey for some odd reason. And today, a third person sat in the seat me and Zach were in. I looked over to see Devin, oh sweet Devin. I sorta had a crush on him since like grade five. He dosen't seem like the type of person someone like me would like but, he has this sweet obsession with his sister and it's adorable! I start hearing people chant "Look at left hand Joey! Sitting next to Frankie?!" Zach looks over to me and asks me a question " I don't wanna sound mean but, why does everyone hate you?"
I don't want to lie to Zach but, I don't want to ruin our "friendship" if you would call it that.
Frankie:No clue?
Zach:Oh
Once again, it's dead silence between us. Devin sat with someone else in the end, sadly.
Finally, we arrive at school!
