(SUNNY'S POV)

After my talk with Harry in the bathroom a couple weeks ago, my body was drained of all its energy. I just crawled into bed with a tub of ice cream and cried.

I didn't think it'd hurt so much, but the reasoning behind my decision was sound. I can't work through all my shit if I feel like I'm making him miserable by asking him to wait for me until I'm ready. Divorce by itself is a lengthy process. Let alone healing from mental, emotional, and physical abuse.

But it was the grief in Harry's eyes that made me want to throw plans of fixing myself straight to hell. I just wanted to wrap him up in my arms and make him smile – make him happy. That further proved my point, though. That's why I need to step back. How can I care for him the way that man deserves to be cared for, when I'm constantly shrouded under a cloud of darkness? Or when I wouldn't think twice about throwing away my personal health and happiness for the sake of his?

It doesn't work like that.

During the sit-down with Jeffrey for the PR bullshit and overview of my responsibilities as Harry's new writer and band member, I kicked off the meeting with some ground rules after I was advised of all the private details they'd need to know to verify that nothing will come back and bite us in the ass later. Seeing as I'm only agreeing to this for the sake of Harry's image after my little white lie, and I'm publicizing my life that I'd wanted to stay very much private, Jeffrey agreed to hear me out.

My stipulations might be minor, hopeless deterrents in the long run, but I have to take any precautionary measures I'm able to for myself and also for Harry.

Rule one: "Sunny Anderson" does not exist. Everything from my old life needs to be scrubbed from the internet so no one can reverse image search 'Rae' – no last name – and figure out who I really am. It's too important to me to keep my past in the past. There's a lot more at stake than just Jack finding me.

Jeffrey agreed and assured that any attempt to "out" me will be handled. I didn't ask how they planned on doing that, because I doubt I'd agree with their strategy. I think that's where the phrase "ignorance is bliss" comes into play. But I have a suspicion that NDAs and payoffs are involved.

Rule two: No social media.

He countered that with a solid point – dammit – saying that the use of geo-tags can help throw people off my scent of where I am or what I do for a living. And any stunt or "spotted" posts made about me will be highly monitored to ensure my current location is under wraps.

That being said, I forfeited rule two, but I countered it with a new demand – because I'm not a fucking idiot, and I don't have to do any of this if I don't want to. I'm not giving anyone credit for my shit when I didn't want to be a part of the "public figure" world in the first place.

So...

Rule two-point-five: I possess full ownership and profit for all my content.

Ha-ha!

He tried to negotiate with me on that one. But when I shrugged and stood up to walk out, he conceded. Too easy.

Rule three: If Harry wants me traveling with him, whether it be for writing, recording, touring, or dating – I'm permitted guaranteed leave for work and important personal matters. Personal matters meaning divorce matters.
