Tony chuckled through the phone. "Sorry, forgot to ask for your number. And I couldn't find your number anywhere. Apparently, praying works."
Selene tried her hardest to fight off the mental image of Tony Stark praying to her father just so he can ask for her number. But she was unsuccessful as the corners of her lips lifted slightly in amusement. She looked down at the table to try and hide it despite being alone.
She cleared her throat. "Well?"
"Well, what?"
"Are you gonna invite me to your tower like you said?" Selene asked with raised eyebrows, despite the fact that the man can't actually see it. But she found him ridiculously cute somehow. She shook her head, forcing the thought out.
"Ah, right," Tony cleared is throat. "Selene Mortimer, my fiancée for nearly forty years, please come visit me in my tower. I will be letting down my hair for you."
