Chapter 2 ( Who is She? )

We reached to our local grocery store,
picked up a basket and went in
One by one Charlotte placed items in the basket
Leaving me to carry it everywhere she goes.

"So tell me , any girlfriends? Boyfriends? Crushes?"
She said out of no where while Looking around the shelves.
"Why the sudden question?"
I replied with a unamused voice.
"Come on. Can't your cousin know about your love life?"
She threw her hand around my shoulders Joking around
"Hey knock it off , No I'm not interested in anyone .."
She pinch my cheeks and threw a bag of chips in the basket.
"Yeah not buying it"

I'm hesitant to tell her about Miss Zoe.
Should i?
What if she thinks its weird that I have a crush on my english teacher?
Lmao she wouldn't give a shit right? ;'D

"Ugh nevermind , forget about it "
We continue getting groceries.
Talked alot of boring stuff.
Mostly it's about her and her ex boyfriend.
Okay look. I'm not a bad cousin . It's just she keeps repeating the same subject. Its gets boring and annoying at this point HAHA.

After checking out the groceries.
We unload the groceries in the car .
She even told me to drive instead . Since her legs hurt.
What a dumb excuse.

While driving back.
She blasted pop music with the aux cord . Apparently thats how she lighten up the mood.

"Girl When are you going to tell me who's your crush ?"
She said while giving me a death glare.
"I told u I don't have one."
I shrug her question off pretending not to hear her.
"Everyone has a crush you dumbfuck"
She said while smirking
Omg someone please get me out this car.
"Oh fineeee , since you wanna know soo bad.."
I replied.
She shifted her seat and lower down the volume to hear what i say.
"Her name is Zoe Kristen , i met her in school.
And shes pretty cool"
She looked at me , like shes waiting for more answers.
"And... Shes tall , smart and wayyy out of my league"
I avoid eye contact with her.
I let out a long sigh and plopped my back to the seat.
My energy drained out after thinking about her too much.
"I see . Zoe Kristen?"
She repeated her name to me.
All i could do is nod and waited for her answer.
"Oh okay then "
She resume the music on the speaker.
Soo thats it? I got nervous over nothing?
I really need to stop overreacting .

We reached home.
Carried the groceries in and put them away.
"For a second i thought you ran away"
My brother appeared out of no where.
"U just woke up?  Dude it's like 2 pm in the afternoon."
I ignored their conversation and proceed to put away the groceries
"Hahaha, i was playing Call of Duty till 4 am last night"
He scratch his head  while charlotte scolded him.
After i was done
I left the kitchen and headed straight to my room.
Plopped myself onto my bed.
And took out my phone to scroll around with.

*New message*

Nessa : hey leah.
Me : wassup?
Nessa: nothing much , are you free tonight?
Me : pretty much free , why?
Nessa: i got 3 coupons to a fancy restaurants around town , i was wondering maybe you , me and Dianne can go?
Me : free food? Sure why not :P
Nessa : HAHA great lmaoo. Meet me at Surf and turf , 5 pm sharp.
Me : great see yall there.

Its still pretty early i have about 2 more hours to get ready. Might aswell find something to kill time.

*Knock knock*

I swear nobody gives me privacy in this house.
"Its me"
My brother frey came in.
"I didn't even say come in"
He approached to me and messed my hair up.
"Yea yea , I'll ask next time"
He jokingly said, standing beside me as i started to sketch on my art book
"You sure do love drawing this specific woman. Who is she?"
He took one of my drawings laying around my table.
"Just some person in school"
I replied and continue to sketch.
"Is she someone you like?"
I felt my body freeze when frey asked me that question.
I slowly turned my head to him and hes eyes was still looking at my drawing.
"You can say that..."
I said slowly with a shaky voice.
Frey smiled and handed me the paper before walking to the door .
"What do you want for dinner?"
He said before leaving .
"I'm heading out with Dianne and Nessa for dinner.
He gave me a thumbs up and left .

I sat there for a moment and looked at my drawing once again.
I smiled , i got up and went to bath to get ready for tonight.

Hours passed by and i met my besties at the restaurant and had dinner with them.
I also brought back some takeouts for Charlotte and Frey.

The dinner was great , i got to spend time with my besties before first day of school tomorrow.

Honestly i ain't excited for school. I just want to see Miss Zoe and hang with my friends.

Literally i don't pay attention in class.
But i still get a decent grade. The highest grade i got was a 60. Meh better than nothing.

I was already in bed . With my sweatpants and hoodie.
The night light was on. My pet hamster (Leo) is soundly asleep in his little kingdom.
While I'd binge watching attack on titan
Season 4 on my television.

After finishing the episode . I went to brush my teeth and did my skin routine before calling it a night.
