Chapter 7 ( Protective )

(Miss Zoe Kristen POV)

"I appreciate if you stop picking on Leah"
I gave Miss Reese a glare . My voice as stern as it gets .
I was trying to keep it professionally strict.
Normally if she wasn't my student . I would have taken things the hard way.
"Well Miss Zoe , I don't know why you are taking sides with an Orphan here but you really should be considering on not paying attention to her at all."
Annabelle spat her words like it doesn't bother her at all.
I felt my heart boiling with anger .

Ohh the urge to not smack her right now. Calm down Zoe.

" I bet you wouldn't want to be treated like that if you were an orphan don't you ?"
I replied towering over her with my hands crossed like usual.
"But I'm not an oprhan and I'm smart and Rich the only pretty girl in school! , shes just a lonely person who is asking for attention."

*SMACK*

A slap right to her face.
"If i hear you talk shit about Miss Willows again. There will be more serious consequences."
She stood there shocked while holding the mark of the slap.

(Leah Willows POV)

*SMACK*

"Whats that sound?"
Nessa said .
Making the whole class started cluttering around the classroom door. I got curious aswell so i went to check it out
"Whats going on-?"

""If i hear you talk shit about Miss Willows again. There will be more serious consequences."

Miss zoe said. Leaving me speechless.

"Miss zoe-?"
I broke the silence.
She turned to me with her blank face then turned to the other students.
"Go back to your seats , this instant."
Everyone went rushing back onto their seats.
While i still stood there.
"Come on Leah"
Dianne pulled me. I couldn't get my eyes off her .

Annabelle came in wiping her tears , while Miss Zoe face as stern as usual. She acted like nothing just happened.

She continued class talking about bullying and feelings

i felt like shes doing to keep me safe but why me?
There are more people who get bullied everyday ,
but this is first time i see her taking action for someone.
Even after avoiding all the other students trying to gain her attention.

Time flew by and school ended . The principal called in Miss Zoe and Annabelle to the office during Miss zoe's class.
Kinda made me worried at first but i guess it had something to do with earlier incident.
I feel bad that I got her into this trouble.
If only i didn't act like a coward and fight back.
She wouldn't have to protect me and be part of my mess ")
Idiot leah.

I stayed in Miss Zoe's office like she said earlier.
I sat on the couch for over 30 mins. Looks like it's a serious talk with the principal.
I hope shes doing fine.

Time flew by for quite some time and its getting me pretty worried.

*knock knock*

"Oh hey sorry to keep you waiting , I had a meeting with the teachers about next week pop quiz"
She came in and closed the door.
"Oh no worries , definitely wasn't worried about you at all"
Yeah totally not lying too. :/
"Did you get in trouble by Annabelle's dad?"
I questioned with a guilty voice.
"Sooo you are worried about me Hahaha".
She laughed at me
"WHAT- no wayyy".
I'm the worst person to ever lie.

She sat beside me and placed a strain of hair behind my ear.
"I got a lil warning but nothing more than that , Thankfully the principal was pretty understanding about the bully thing.".
She reassured me while squeezing my hand on her lap.

The atmosphere in her office changed so fast .
It felt warmer as she sat beside me with her presence here is soo soothing. Like all my problems flew away with a breeze.
Our faces were inches apart. Yet so close to lay a quick kiss on her cheek

*Knock knock*
"Hey Kristen , you in there?"
She quickly stood up and fixed her posture.
"Yes come in."
Her stern voice came back again. I swear it gets funny everytime i witness her switching personalities.
"I have the planners here for the school pop quiz next week and - oop i didn't know we had company"
Miss Rico my history teacher came in .
"Its fine , we were just having a small talk"
Miss zoe handed her a file.
"Oh i see alright , thanks Zoe see ya tomorrow."
Miss Zoe waved at her as she left.

She turned at me and dropped a smile once again.
"You hungry? Lets go get burgers"
She drove us to a nearby diner located around 5th street avenue. The burgers are bussin ngl.
"Thanks for the food Miss Zoe "
I was stuffed to the core.
"Your welcome "
She smiled.

Miss Zoe and i had great a conversation with stuffed bellies.

I admired her alot when she wasn't aware .
She has a beautiful smile i gotta admit .
I noticed she was wearing a ring on her index finger .
"Miss Zoe what ring is that?"
I pointed on her finger .
"Oh this? Its just a ring my pops handed to me before he passed away"
I shouldn't have asked._.
"Ohh... Sorry for asking."
I looked away from her.
"What? Don't be Haha.
My dad already lived his fullest happy life .
His last wish was for me to be happy too."
She gaze off looking out the window and smiled before turning to me.

"I should be sorry to you. You lost your parents at such a young age ."
She grabbed my hand and squeeze it.
I squeezed back before letting go as i smile slighty.

"Lets go . We wouldn't want your family to be worried"
She said, the bill came out pretty pricey for a local diner.
I insisted to pay but Miss Zoe told me to head in the car first .
Next time I'm paying when we head out for lunch again :/

She safely drove me home and we had pretty funny conversation aswell ,

Miss zoe insisted to walk me to the front porch.
We slowly walked together.
"Thanks again Miss Zoe . "
She smirked.
"No problem, I'll see you tomorrow? Same time?"
I nodded and slighty blushed.
Miss Zoe cuffed her hands in her jeans and turned around to leave .

"Wait-"
I quickly pulled her hand before she walked off.
Her body crashed into mine as my other hand held around her waist so she wouldn't fall backwards.
"I- shit sorry."
Her face was inches away from mine .
As our breath were hitting eachother skin.
"Leah..."

"Um am i interrupting something here?"
My brother stood at the door staring at both of us.
"FREY!"
I quickly let go of Miss Zoe and straighten my shirt
" I uh- You must be Leah Brother?"
Miss Zoe handed her hand out to shake frey hands.
"Yes and you must be?"
Frey asked back.
Leaving me gulping in fear.
"I'm Leah's teacher . Miss Zoe, Zoe Kristen to be exact"
Frey started coughing while hitting his chest.
"I'm sorry 'Miss Zoe' you say??"
Frey said with a surprise face before turning to me smirking.

"UMM RIGHT , Thanks again Miss Zoe SEE YOU TOMORROW"
I slightly rushed her into her car gesturing her to quickly drive off..
I waved at her leaving before letting out a huge breath.

"So That's Miss Zoe?"
My brother appeared behind me.
" shuuuuut up"
I blushed and quickly ran into the house heading straight into my room"
