Nature's Whispers

The whisps of wind whisper secrets in my ear
The sounds surrounding my chair
Fill me with curiosity as to what they've seen
Throughout their lifetime.

Floating by on the light that warms the air
Something that makes me jealous
Loathing of every other corner of the world.
Something it refuses to share with me.

Oh, what I would give for a taste,
Just a taste of the bitter sweetness
On a tongue that can't speak, so I lay
Wondering, dreaming of the world. Hoping for the taste.

To be in love is a foolish thing
But to be loved does not mean that you are free.
To fly does not mean to be gone forever.
For you will return once more,
To sit on this balcony and bathe in the sunset with me.

Drown out all the whispers and useless jabbers
That the world uses to blind you to me daily.
Step out of the light to see my face
Don't you know of trust? Don't you know of anger?
Don't you care for longing?

Return to me, for you came from me. Here!
Talk to me once more, so that I will not be lonely.
I wish to speak once more. Will you listen?
Reach out to know me. See me. Feel my whispers.
Live to me, and you will know happy.
