We arrived at a long row of black doors and Tobias pulled out a key by the third one on the left.

"This is my apartment, if you ever need to talk I'll either be here or in the control room or the cafeteria so next time/ don't go looking for Eric," he spat the name at the end as he pushed the door open.

"I didn't go looking for him i was at the chasm when he turned up," i followed him into the apartment. It was quite big and surprisingly clean but i guess he didn't spend much time here.

"Why were you at the chasm and not in the dorms?" he asked as he switched some lights on and removed his jacket.

"Hey Tobias, can we talk about Eric and -" I turned my head to see Six walking out of a room but stopped herself when she saw me.

"Kierra, as you've probably already worked out, Six is my girlfriend, Tris this is my sister Kierra," Tris? Oh so that's her real name. What's with numbers as names for our trainers? I'll have to find out one day.

"Hi," i mumbled awkwardly. I wonder what they need to talk about? What happened with Eric? I don't know why i was so interested.

"Hi, so you're the famous little sister," she smiled walking over and hugging tobias.

"What?" i asked confused.

"He never stop's talking about you, for a month before your choosing ceremony he kept saying how he hoped you'd transfer here" she laughed as my brother looked embarrassed.

"Yeah well you know i wanted her out of there," he glanced at me and by her reaction it was clear she knew about Marcus. A silence fell over us as nobody knew what to say.

"Well i need to go to Christina's place and make sure she gets up before training begins. Then we have to find Uriah so i guess I'll see you both later," she smiled and Tobias kissed her cheek before she left. I was happy for him but it was weird seeing public affection after living in abnegation.

"So why are you awake?"he asked crossing his arms.

"Memories of ... well you know,"i sighed and guilt was evident on his face as he pulled me into a hug.

"It's okay i had them too, they'll soon go," he whispered into my hair.

"It got so much worse after you left," i couldn't stop the tear that escaped my eye.

"I'm so sorry, i shouldn't have left you alone. I knew it got worse and i regretted it every day until yesterday when i saw you. I'm proud of you," he said leading me to the sofa where he made me sit down as he rook a place in front of me on the coffee table.

"How did you know it got worse?" i gave him a sad smile.

"Before when I left my choosing ceremony I looked over at Marcus and he looked mad, like worse than i'd ever seen him and i knew i'd put you in danger but yesterday when i saw that you were fine i was relieved," we talked for a while but when the clock struck 05:00 apparently he had to head to the training room to set up and since Eric could arrive at any time i had to go so he believed the fake story we'd told him.

"Are you sure you're not too tired, it's fighting lessons today?" Toby pulled on his jacket and gathered his keys etc.

"I'm fine," i replied,

"What about your injuries? Do you have any from him?" i knew what he was talking about and it hit me that if we were fighting and my back or ribs got punched i'd be in trouble but i couldn't let him know that, it would make me look weak.

"None that will hurt. A few small bruises here and there but they're fading and feel fine,"

"Okay, lets go," he said warily as we headed to the training rooms.
