"Nobody should know about us, unless I tell them. I will be the only one telling people that we are together. So don't double cross me for another girl Bill, there will be consequences." Sam said. "O-okay Sam." I say, scared. "I love you Bill, but watch yourself."

In middle school, I always needed to go to Bill's house after school.

The main reason why is I used to struggle with Algebra and Science and he's good at it. The last time I went was last year, but only to hang out.

"Remind m-me quickly. W-w-why are you coming to my house again?" He asks. "Because, I'm struggling with Algebra and Science again and my mom insisted for me to come with you again so that you can help me."

"Weird." He says. "How is it weird?" I question him. "Because we're both like 17 years old. And you know what people think of a girl and a boy alone together."

"I guess that makes sense"

Few minutes went by in silence

"Is your parents home?" I ask. "No not yet. My mom is working a double and my dad went to Portland for business, s-so I'm alone for today."

"W-wait. Don't you know this?" I sigh. "If you mentioned it yesterday, when I was not with you guys, then obviously I wouldn't know."

He laughs.

I smile at him and I lose myself in his eyes, but then I snap out of it and I look away.

"Today was one of the worst days ever." I start, trying to kill the awkward silence.

"T-t-today was not so bad." I look at him in confucion. "What!? After gym class, i felt like committing dying."

"It wasn't that bad, i mean it could've be worse." He says. "Yeah, i guess."

We finally arrive at his house. We walk into the building, and a lot has changed since I've been here last.

"Is there anything that you w-want to eat?" I think. "An apple please." He sighs. "You have to eat more."

"Bill please, I eat enough. If I wasn't, you would've known."

I walk up the stairs to Bill's room and I put my bag down next to his bed. I start by taking out my Algebra textbook and notes, then I put my books on his study table when I see that one of the drawers is open.

I peek inside, wondering what a boy has in his drawers. Nah, I shouldn't snoop. But I gave in.

I open the first drawer, there were headphones, a Sony cassette player and a picture of me and other junk. Interesting...

I open the second drawer, there were books and a drawing of Beverly. The picture had water damage, looks like it rained wet.

I open the last drawer and there were books on sex ed and a bottle of lube.

I immediately close the drawer and I look behind me. "So uhm...do you have my apple?" I give him a big smile. "Uh yeah, I-I do." He throws me the apple. "Thanks, so when do we start?" I say, trying to keep my mentality together. "Let's start n-now."

We sit down on his bed. As I try to reach for my notes, his hand brushes mine as he tries to give them to me.

"Sorry." I laugh, pulling my hand away. "N-no problem." He smiles. "Okay, let's get started." I say, opening the book.

"What's the time?" I ask after finishing my last question. "It's almost nine."

Shit

"Thanks for helping me, but I need to get home." I start packing my things. "D-do you want me to w-walk you home?" I zip close my bag. "Sure."
