A week has already passed since the whole avoiding Xueer started and they've (the other girls) been doing great at it. Except, both parties—Jiaqi and Xueer—aren't exactly doing great.
Jiaqi's been avoiding Xueer since she needed herself to fully cool down but it ended up with her missing the younger's presence. Xueer on the other hand, has been doing more terribly than Jiaqi.
She has become way too dependent on the older's presence that every time she sees Jiaqi avoid her, she felt like tearing up (it hasn't come to the point where she'd want to burst into tears. YET).
"Hey Xiaotang," Jiaqi called the attention of the girl walking beside her who was sipping her chocolate drink. "You wanna have lunch with everyone later?" she asks.
"By 'everyone' you mean....." Xiaotang trails off.
"Everyone that I'm close with in this campus." Jiaqi answers.
Xiaotang looked at Jiaqi observingly. "Genuinely saying, the people you're close with includes her, whom you've been avoiding. Will she join too?"
Jiaqi bit her lip, "Y-yeah." she stuttered. "It's fine, don't worry."
"Are you sure?" Xiaotang asks.
"Positive." Jiaqi replied.
"Okay, then." Xiaotang beamed. "I'll tell Shuxin and everyone else."
She whipped out her phone from her pocket and immediately send a message in their group chat about the lunch.
"Wait, how about Danni?" she asks.
"Let's go ask her." Jiaqi said.

"Zheng Danni!" Xiaotang shouted in the halls that are occupied by students from different levels.
When Danni heard her name being called, she immediately looked at the direction and shouted her caller's name with the same decibel, "Zhao Xiaotang!", before running to them.
Jiaqi shook her head at the exchange.
"Hey there, kiddo." Jiaqi said while she ruffles Danni's hair.
"So, why am I needed?" the freshman eagerly asks.
"I was thinking of inviting you for lunch later." Jiaqi answered.
Danni tilted her head to the side as she thoroughly process the invitation.
"Everyone else will be there, right?" Jiaqi nodded her head.
Danni was about to accept when she remembered her girlfriend. "Jiejie, what about my girlfriend?"
"She might feel left out if we invite her so...." Jiaqi tried to think of a plan.
"Tell her you're gonna have lunch with Xu Jiaqi and her whole gang. Trust me, she'll let you go." Xiaotang nonchalantly said.
"You're not giving her a chance to say no with that." Jiaqi deadpanned.
"No, it might actually work." Danni agreed making Jiaqi and Xiaotang look at each other. 'Over her girlfriend???' they mentally questioned the freshman.
"You're accepting the invitation willingly, right? I'm not forcing you into this or anything." Jiaqi told Danni.
"Yes, I am." Danni said. "She knows that I'm close with you, don't worry." she added.
"Okay, then." Jiaqi beamed. "I'll pick you up later?" she asks.
"Yup." Danni beamed back.
When the bell rang, Danni gave Xiaotang and Jiaqi quick hugs before dashing to her room.
