"Oh, by the way, my parents wants to meet you." Xueer says. "Today."
Normally, one would get nervous when your partner tells you that their parents want to meet them. And, well, Jiaqi's not so different.
She froze on her spot as soon as her girlfriend informs her. Xueer looked at her worriedly before she bursted out with laughter.
"Hey, don't laugh," Jiaqi whined, "You're whole body was literally shaking when I brought you to my grandparents place."
Xueer groaned. "Oh, don't remind me."
Jiaqi laughed at her reaction before she was back to panicking again.
"You can't just drop that information to me!? I need to prepare for that!"
"When you took me to your grandparents place, you didn't give me time to prepare too." the younger retorted and dragged her to the parking place.
"So, suck it up and come with me to meet my parents."
"But Xuexueeee~"
"No,"
"Snowflakeeee~"

"....You're lucky I love you."
Xueer laughs at her as they stood in front of her house.
"You'll be fine, you worry too much."
"I didn't even get to prepare. I mean, look at what I'm wearing!"
The noirette looks at her outfit. The taller girl was wearing a black knitted crop top sweater, black flared pants, black boots and a silver chain. And honestly, she looked hot in it. So, instead of her lips giving the answer, her heating cheeks gave it away.
Jiaqi chuckles upon seeing this. "Seriously?"
"What~!?" Xueer exclaimed defensively as she shyly covers her face with her hands.
"I should stop asking you about how I look."
"Yes, you should. Spare me the heart attack."
Jiaqi laughs.
"Seriously, tho, you uhh look good," the noirette stutters. "And..."
Removing her hands form covering her face, Xueer cupped Jiaqi's face and gently caress her cheeks. "They'll love you. Don't worry."
Jiaqi steals a kiss from the noirette and gives her a smile.
"I believe you."
Xueer smiles back and intertwines their fingers as she faces the door.
"Ready?"
"Nope."
Xueer laughs again as she rings the doorbell and waits for her parents to welcome them.

So far, nothing bad has happened. Except for the fact that Jiaqi became extra silent, everything has been going well.
When they gathered in the dining room, Xueer's father suddenly asks how Jiaqi has been like they we're old friends. Even the bluenette was taken aback. But it slowly made sense to her when Xueer's mom took out a certain snow globe along with a picture of their family.
The fox took the photo with shaky hands as she stared at only one person. But it wasn't at her girlfriend. It was at the boy smiling widely beside the little girl.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Xueer worriedly asks as she noticed how ragged her breathing has became.
"This...boy....Who-?"
