Skinhead
“Who’s the girl?” Coyote nodded towards the gate as he stood at the office door, I looked over my shoulder but she was already gone.
“A teacher from Diego’s school. When I was late the other day she stayed with him.” I shrugged my shoulders.
“Mhmm and what’s this about coffee boy?” He asked following me into the garage.
“We bumped into each other and she spilt coffee on me…”
“Ah, so that’s why you had the big brown stain on your shirt. She’s pretty, coffee boy” he chuckles, patting my shoulder. I rolled my eyes at my president before he walked off to answer his cell phone. I looked towards the gate once again before looking away. Ever since Lotty died I put my time into raising Diego, looking after my father and being here for my brothers at the club. It had been nearly a year after Coyote and his old lady broke up and everything that happened to Minx. He was slowly accepting that Cerberus and Minx were together but I knew deep down he hated himself for leaving that night.
For years now I have been the quiet one unless I was doing something for the club or I needed to say something important. I knew Coyote thought about what I had said at the hospital that time, he knew what I meant as he was always there for me when I needed someone.
After Lotty I never really thought about getting into a relationship, I didn’t even hang around with the girls at the clubhouse. I found myself not needing to get involved with them and the drama of them trying to become an old lady.
But there was something about Cleo… I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
Maybe it was that she took time out of her day to stay with Diego while I was running late. Or the fact that she cared enough to offer to buy a new shirt for ruining mine. As I thought about it, my mind kept going back to the guy that picked her up.
Boyfriend… brother? I had no idea.

“I got word from the suppliers, they want us to meet them. Grizzly, One-eye and I will go, the rest will stay here” Coyote slammed the gavel down before the guys started to stand up and walk out. I remained sitting there with Coyote before I took a hit of nicotine from my cigarette.
“Are you sure about this?” I asked him, he looks at me and nods his head.
“Yeah… I need to keep busy.” He told me before putting out his cigarette and reaching for another. The break up with Ripley had him messed up, he was going to spiral out of control. I just didn’t know when. Coyote stands up and leaves, making me wonder what is going through his mind.
Once I came out of chapel I walked over to Grizzly. “When you go to the meeting today, keep a lookout of pres,” I told him.
“Do you think he will do something?” He asked me.
“I’m not sure but since his old lady called it quits…”
“Yeah I’ve seen it, he's been more reckless than normal” he nods his head before Coyote yells out ‘it was time to go.’ As the guys rode out of the compound the rest of the guys grabbed a drink and started to play pool. I pulled out my phone and gave my father a quick call.
“Hey dad, is everything okay?” I asked him when he answered.
“Yes, we are just watching the game while Diego finishes off his homework.” He said, I smiled when I heard Diego in the background yelling out ‘Hi dad!’
“Okay good, I’ll be home late tonight.”
“All good son” once we said goodbye I grabbed my beer and headed over to the pool table to see Cerberus getting his ass kicked by Books.

As time went on, it got closer towards the time that the guys should have been back by now. I tried their phones but they all went to voicemail. Before we knew it, the clubhouse doors were being kicked in and we were getting yelled at by police. “Get on the ground!”
“What’s this about?” I asked but one cop threw a punch in my face and slammed me to the ground. I saw shoes stand in front of me, making me look up.
“Sorry about that,” the lady with ATF written on her jacket said. “We have a warrant to search the place, I hope you don’t mind” she gave me a fake smile.
“You should've knocked instead of breaking down the door. We would have let you come in” I told her, I tasted my blood from my split lip.
“I’m sure you would have, cowboy.” She said before turning away, making me roll my eyes. As they searched through the clubhouse, some police officers came out with weapons. “Take them down to the station.” The ATF woman said.
We were taken down to the police station but weren’t seen until the early hours of the morning. We were charged but we had gotten bail. As soon as I had gotten my phone I called Coyote but it went to voicemail. “Trying to call your president?” I heard a female voice behind me. When I turned I saw the ATF lady standing there drinking from a takeaway coffee cup.
“It doesn’t seem like it’s a really good night for the Armoured Beasts MC huh?” I looked at her with narrowed eyes. “Oh right, my bad. Your boys were picked up for drug charges and weapons. Looks like they will be spending a while in jail” she smirks at me before sipping her coffee.
“Maybe they will get a deal if they spill names” she shrugged her shoulders “Have a nice day Mr Issac,” she said before walking away. My jaw clenched before I walked over to the guys waiting for me.
“Books you need to see if any of that is true,” I told him, “if so, we might be looking at 5 years if they are lucky.” I ran my hand over my bald head and sighed before we climbed into the taxi. It was a long night but today was going to be longer.
