4 Days later before the assaults of the Grimm base

David and Summer was sleeping together in his room until David woke up as someone open the door to his room as David rub his eye to seeRuby standing there at the door as Summer woke a up all tired trying to get David back to sleep

Summer: "Honey go to sleep"

David: "Hang on what wrong Ruby"

Ruby: "I can't sleep"

David move to side of the bed as Ruby got in the middle between David and Summer as Ruby laid down feel safe between them as David smiled seeing the family together as Summer hugged Ruby like a teddy bear as Ruby turn to David before he was about to sleep again as she ask him a question

Ruby: "Dad what is a war?"

David: "War is a um it's something that shouldn't that happened but it does and it's when some people in another country or kingdom any between them tried to take some lives of other people and then solider like me you have to you know it's my job to go over there and stop them"

Ruby: "Are they going to take your life Dad because I don't want them to"

David: "Well they are going to tried because I'm not gonna let them to take my life from me and you and your mom"

Ruby smile as she hug David as he brace the hug as he kissed Ruby head as they fall asleep in bed

David was wear his gear and was standing in front of Ruby bed as he was saying goodbye as David kiss his index finger and middle finger and place it on the fore head of hers and does the same with Yang as he close the door to Team RWBY and JNPR room as he went to his room showing Summer asleep in his bed as he lead over and kiss her check as he leave the house

As Summer wake up and get off the bed wanting to stop her husband from going as David was outside putting his helmet as he walk off to the street alone while Summer got out of the house trying to chase him but stopped as he was gone as tears was falling from her checks only to say three words before entering the house

Summer: "I love you"

After reaching the meeting point as David was standing alone holding his duffle bag and his M16A1 as he took a deep breath and looking to see Nick and his squad walking as he smiled at him as he smiled back later Razor and his squad and Sarah and her team and then Ramirez as were standing around smile at each other

Until the Commander arrived greeting us as he was getting his battalion ready as the buses came up as we went in the bus as we enter the bus and took our seat in the front row the Commander was yelling his men to line up to their assign bus as they begin to enter after everyone was in the bus as it drove us to New Jersey

New Jersey HQ 320 miles from the base

David POV

Me and Nick were are at the war room as we were are going to take the base back from the enemy as Razor came with a Idea

Razor: " How about we used artillery to weakened the defense as we sent waves of our men in the chopper"

Nick: "What do you think about that David"

David: "That sound like good plan but we need to find a perfect place to land"

Ramirez: "Scout report said that we could land at the southeast of the base then we work our way there taking the base back"

David: "Ok then get the troops squad ready we attack at Sunday"
