One day after school, Miguel caught sight of the Thornley girl. The Diaz boy was intending to ask her to join karate. He was going to ask Crimson and Eva but he didnt know them and to be honest, they kind of scared him.
"Hey, hey Jay! Wait up!" he said as he ran up to her.
She stopped, took out one of her earbuds, and looked around, trying to find the source of the voice calling her name, when her eyes caught sight of Miguel. Her confused expression softened and she shot him a grin.
"Oh hey, what's up Miggy?" she spoke as she took the other earbud out and he came to a stop in front of her.
Getting straight to the point he said, "how do you feel about joining karate?" He took in quick deep breaths since he was out of them from running.
"Karate?"
"Yeah! You know like," he started holding up his fists and pretending to hit her, making her take a step back.
"Uh, I don't know about that. I mean I got school and the band and-"
"Come on, just try it out! It's really fun trust me,"
She still seemed unsure. Sure it would be good exercise since she doesn't play sports anymore but would her dad let her? Would he be proud of her if she decided to do this? With that thought in mind, her face lit up, indicating she had an idea.
"If you have a- a what's it called? Oh! If you have dojo then you can compete right? In that tournament thingy? I went once with my mom it was cool." she replied.
"Uh, yeah I guess so b-"
"Ill join then!" she cut him off before he could finish.
"Wait? Seriously?"
"Yeah! Why not?"
"That was easier than I thought," he said, letting out a breathy laugh.
The girl just smiled in response.
"So uh, if you want we could head over tomorrow after school?"
"That's perfect, see ya then Miggy."
"Yeah yeah ill see you," he said before turning around and walking away from her.

"Hello?" Jay said, wondering why Mrs. Moskowitz was calling her.
"Hey Jay, do you think you can come over? I think Eli needs someone right now and I don't think he wants to talk to me,"
The pink haired girl immediately frowned upon hearing those words.
"Yeah I'll be on my way,"
"Thank you so much sweetheart, I'll see you in a bit." the woman in the other side of the phone said before hanging up.
