"So youre just gonna keep ignoring me?" Jay asked.
She stood, facing her boyfriend, with her arms crossed as she leaned against her car door. Her chest rose and fell quickly, like she was just finished running a marathon (which she would never do even if her life depended on it).
Hawk said nothing as he continued walking away from her. His fists were clenched at his sides and shoulders moved up and down from every deep breath he took.
"Listen Hawk if I made you do something you didn't want to do last night I'm so so-"
"No I was okay," he interrupted. "You're just being paranoid for no reason."
His tone was softer than Jay expected it to be making her eyes widen. She expected him to yell or mutter under his breath or something, but he didn't.
"So then why haven't you talked to me then? You ignore me and then talk to Moon of all people?" she questioned. "Of course I'm going to be paranoid."
"You don't get it," he sighed, turning around and meeting her eyes.
"So tell me what I don't get," she urged. "Please Hawk, just tell me what's wrong."
He winced at her calling him Hawk, which was weird considering he practically hated everyone who didn't. But, he turned around and met her eyes nonetheless.
"I just didn't want to talk today is all," his face was set in a stern glare making Jay raise an eyebrow.
"You could've just told me that," she whispered. "But if you didn't want to talk to me then why moon?"
"God can you let the moon thing go?!" he shouted at her.
"No I can't! Because every time I see you going off with her I can't help but feel like im not enough for you! That you're finding someone better and I am just here just because!" she spoke. "And don't you dare yell at me."
"You've got it all wrong, Im not doing anything with her," he argued.
"Okay so what are you doing?" Jay asked.
It was quiet as Jay stared him down and he refused to say anything as he looked anywhere but him. The silence made her scoff and roll her eyes.
"Fine, don't tell me. But at least tell me why you beat up demetri for a stupid yelp review," she spat.
"He was dissing the dojo! What else was I supposed to do?"
