"Do I really have to go?" Mihrimah'a asked with a put on her lips as the car came to a slow halt.
"Mihrimah" she sighed taking her hands in her.
"Baby what if...." She started but her throat clogged and her hand raised up to cup her cheeks.
"Yes mama?" The little girl asked, gazing at her mother with wide eyes.
"What if someday, someone asks you to leave me and choose them, what would you do?" She asked and the little girl's eyebrows furrowed.
"Why would that happen?" She asked with a tilt of her head.
"Suppose" Ayat pestered.
"But...." Mihrimah started "choose who?" She asked and Ayat gulped looking away.
"Anyone" she croaked.
"I would always choose you mama." She assured placing her small hand on her mother's arm and Ayat held her hand in hers.
"And what if they tell you I'm not a good person to live with? Then?" She asked and Mihrimah frowned.
"I don't know what you're talking about Mama. How can you be bad for me?" She chuckled but her heart twisted in anxiety of what was going on.
"Please don't ever leave me Mihrimah. I promise there is a reason why you can't stay with me but please" Ayat begged and cried holding her daughter's hand.
"Mama" Ayat jolted out of her thoughts as Mihrimah casted her a worried glance.
"Yes baby?" Ayat smiled.
"You didn't answer my question" the little girl frowned.
"What? What question?" She asked feeling her heart raced.
"Do I really have to go?" She asked again and Ayat took in a deep breath.
"I'm sorry." She said before composing herself "I... for now Mihrimah you have to stay here, okay?"
"But why?" The little girl asked.
"Mihrimah" she sighed and the daughter frowned upon her mother.
"Mihrimah what? I want to go back with you" she whined making Ayat take in a deep breath.
