Trying to master the art
the art of letting you go
Didn't get me all that far
my brain still wants to know
All the little parts of you
the things that make you great
It doesn't see that we're through
only that you're worth the wait
So go easy on my mind
and the crooked state it's in
It just wants us to rewind
to become what we have been
It's not possible, I know
but I need some hope
With my feelings, goes to show
I'm going down a slippery slope
You had that power over me
although you never even saw
That's why I think I flee
punishing you for my flaw
I'll make it up to you
I swear it on my heart
but for now I just need to
master the trickiest art.
