Stuff Happens; What can Izuku say?

The holidays were fairly quiet for Izuku.

Sure, there was training with Enji and Rei, when she came over to join in with them, but his two friends seemed to gravitate to each other. Izuku knew that they obviously didn't mean to accidentally make him a third-wheeler, but it did seem like it.

It made sense, honestly. Izuku had only been around for just over a year now, Rei and Enji had known each other for a larger time than that. He was just intruding on their friendship.

So, a large chunk of his time was spent working on his notebooks.

He revised through his future memories, occasionally getting frustrated at the differences his memory now had compared to when he'd written down his notes back before Yuuei started. There are just so many changes.

For example, there were several villains and gangs that had been on the news when he'd been growing up - at least, according to his former-timeline memories - but when he tried to remember when he'd seen the news, he couldn't.

He even struggled to remember why Todoroki-kun hadn't been using his fire before Izuku had been sent back in time. His notes said that Todoroki Enji had been abusive, but in his "now" memories, he couldn't place anything to do with Endeavor in the future. Like, everything was blank.

He knew that Enji became Endeavor, he knew that Enji would marry and have four kids - the first kid his friend would have sort of blanked out in his memories, toward the oldest's late teens - including Todoroki Shoto. Other than those facts, it was all blurry; as if he had the memories, but he just couldn't access them.

It was annoying at best.

And depressing at worst.

He was changing things, and Izuku doesn't know if they are good changes or bad changes.

For once in his life, Izuku was actually looking forward to going to the mall.

"Come on, come on," He said hurriedly to Rei and Enji, both of his friends just shook their heads at him.

"They'll still be there even if we're late," Rei pointed out, a fond smile on her face.

Isamu wrinkled his nose, "But it's been so looooooooong ," he dragged the word out, making Rei laugh as Enji rolled his eyes.

Izuku giggled slightly when Enji reached out to grab his arm, only for Izuku to dart out of the way with ease, avoid bumping into a woman and her child.

"Sorry!" Izuku called out, and the woman gave him a filthy glare before leaving.

The greenette shrugged, confidently moving through the sea of people despite the fear that rushed through his veins every time he got too close to a stranger. His friends trailed after him, less energetic than he was, as they headed to the agreed-upon meeting spot.

Which was great, because Isamu managed to see the messy purple hair that belonged to Nikushimi who looked like he'd grown a few centimetres over the holiday period, and the always tall Shun who kept talking to Nikushimi but it looked like the blue-haired male had yet to notice that Nikushimi just kept nodding to him, but had earbuds in the entire time.

"Hey, Shun!" Izuku waved at the tallest of the Rainbow Squad.

"Isamu!" Shun greeted before giving Nikushimi a filthy look, "You must convince Nikushimi that he isn't right in agreeing with the-"

Isamu laughed, interrupting a now confused Shun, "He's not even listening to you," Izuku pointed out, and giggled when Nikushimi just pulled out one of his earbuds.
