19. Going Out and Shopping

Not frustrated by the fact that there wasn't condiment in this world, Yu Jinli was determined to find condiment himself. He didn't want tasteless boiled meat every day. That would kill him.
"Mom, where do you get all the food? Can I come with you when you go shopping?" Asked Yu Jinli. Perhaps, people here don't even recognize condiment. After all, there are many kinds of food. If they don't know how to cook, they might as well know nothing about condiment even if they see it.
Now, Yu Jinli felt fortunate that when his sect-brother showed him all the delicacies on earth, out of his interest in food, he was able to cook and recognize most ingredients.
Of course, when he said "most ingredients", he meant most ingredients on earth. He wasn't very confident about ingredients here since it was very different from earth. Therefore, he couldn't say much before checking out the market first.
"Li-er, tell them what you want. They'll get it." Said Qiao Mulan.
"Mom, I want to go and have a look." With big eyes, he looked at her expectantly.
Qiao Mulan didn't wish to refuse him so she had no choice but to nod and agree in the end.
It was the first time Yu Jinli left home, excluding traveling from Yu Family to Jiang Family with Uncle Jiang, since it was a brief trip and he barely saw anything.
This time, he went out with Aunt Li who was responsible for purchase in the family. Having seen this world for what it truly was amazed him.
After he took the shape of a human and entered earth, it was already a wonder. However, in comparison, this world was more advanced than earth.
If he hadn't known that all the things here were technology, he would have thought he had entered an advanced cultivation world. Humans are good with what they do.
"Young Lady, usually we make purchase here. This is the largest natural ingredient market in capital star with various food." Smilingly, Aunt Li told Yu Jinli.
At first, Yu Jinli was struck by how advanced this world was. However, when he heard Aunt Li, he suddenly recalled that there was one thing in this world that would never match that of earth - food!
It was hard to explain the food in this world just in a few words. He wondered what this world had been through to have lost the essence of its cuisine, leaving everyone no choice but to eat boiled food like primitive men when some didn't even get food, only nutrition preparation.
For that, he did feel sorry for men in this world, meanwhile, he felt sorry for himself as well. He wondered whether the ingredient here was same as that of earth. If it was different, he might not be able to take care of it even though he knew how to cook.
Hopefully, it would be the same as that of earth. Life would be miserable without good food. If that was the case, he would rather he was on earth.
Entering the market, the exhibition of ingredients was a feast for the eyes. Only seeing them, one's interest was aroused.
It was a large market but there weren't many people inside. Most stood by the entrance and craned their necks inward for a look.
