Lesson Thirty-Seven

"Please stop." Jin cried out, dragging the cover back over his body as Taehyung lifted it from off him.

Taehyung sighed in defeat and looked at the time, "Seokjin, if you do not get up now, you are going to be late, and I am going to be late as well."

"I don't want to go; I just want to sleep; my back hurts."

Closing his eyes, Taehyung took a deep breath; then, he set the tray with the breakfast he had made for Jin on their bedside table. Taking a seat on the bed next to Jin, he placed his hand on Jin's baby's bump; he could tell Jin was nearing the end of his pregnancy, as he had been a lot less energized. He had trouble sleeping at night; he often complained about his back hurting and their daughter pressing against his bladder, making him have more frequent trips to the bathroom.

He didn't know it all, but he had assumed it would be too tiring for Jin to go back to work. Hence, he never agreed with him on his decision to work for the first two weeks before his due date, which the doctor has told them during their last visit that the baby could arrive at any moment now.

"Do you want me to call the school?"

Jin opened his eyes and shook his head, "n-no, I can't do that; I will go; it's just two weeks."

"It could be one week-"

"Taehyung, please, not now. My head hurts, and I am feeling a heap of cramps right now."

Taking another deep breath, Taehyung stayed silent for a while, he didn't like how stubborn Jin was, but he was trying his best to be patient with him, knowing the state he was in. "Wake up, and let me help you to the shower before I leave for class."

He got up from the bed, helped Jin to stand, and then helped him undress out of his shirt.

Jin looked down at his stomach, which was now blocking him from seeing his feet, as his baby bump had dropped, then he looked up at Taehyung. "I don't want her to arrive until my due date, but at the same time, I am so ready not to be pregnant anymore. It's exhausting." he groaned, leaning against Taehyung's chest.

Taehyung hugged him, "are you sure you don't want to stay home-"

"Stop asking me that!" Jin yelled and pulled away from Taehyung, turning; he walked away to the bathroom.

Rubbing his fingers into his hair, Taehyung grumbled in frustration, "I am ready for you not to be pregnant anymore either."

"What did you say?" Jin asked as he yelled out to him.

"If it were intended for you to hear, you would have heard it."

"Why are you so mean to me?"

Taehyung sighed hearing the change of emotion in Jin's voice, walking to the bathroom, he spoke, "I am sorry, I am not trying to be mean, but you are frustrating me, Seokjin, and I am trying to be nice about it, but I can't, not when you are unreasonable."

"What do you mean I am unreasonable?"

"Seriously, you asking me that? You are complaining about being in pain and can't even stay awake, yet you are punishing yourself and going to work; for what reason? Don't you realize how ridiculous that is?"

Jin glared at Taehyung, "get out, just go to your class or whatever. I don't need your help. I can get myself ready."

"Seokjin-"

"No, seriously, please go. I can't do this with you today, not when all you want to do is change my mind about what I want to do. This my job! I am not someone who has a guaranteed job waiting for them after college. I had to work hard to get this job that I have. I have already placed myself at risk of losing it before, and I can't do that again. So if I can only go for a day, I am going for a day, and you need to support me or shut your mouth and mind your damn business because I don't want to hear any more of what you think!"
