Author's Note: I'm including this because I'm worried that by now people have forgotten who my characters are. So I'd like to have this as a guide as a simple explanation of who people are. It is a spoiler up to this point. So I'll likely create updated guide chapters in the future.
Character Guide:
Gaiana - Born and raised a slave, Pandora killed her family and Gaiana now needs to find refuge in a city where deviants like herself can live freely. She cannot use her powers due to a slave mark she was born with. Hopefully, the deviants at Olympus can release her from her seal.
Astrin - A Scythian mortal mercenary. Wants to help Gaiana reach Olympus. Has a deep desire to learn more about deviants and aether.
Mimoza - Amazonian Deviant warrior. Fought in the Ionian wars. She later became a police mercenary for Athens, where she met Gaiana and now promises to protect her.
Imani - Nubian Princess Scholar from Upper Egypt Aethiopia. She's looking for a potential deviant queen for a prince of Nubia.
Chloe - Aloof deviant girl. Isn't of sound mind. Was in Corinth when they found her, she was responsible for killing most deviants and scholars there. She follows the group mostly for the sugar canes Imani carries with her.
Nazar - Scholar of Aten cult; false scholar of Thebes. Is madly in love with Pandora. Was poisoned with hemlock by Astrin.
Pandora - Charon of Athens. She killed the original Charon and took his title. Is an infamous deviant responsible for many deviant deaths on both sides during the Ionian war. Also helped establish the Aten cult in eastern Greece.
Neoshad - Persian scholar noble. Nobleman and hardline follower of the Asha order (an order of scholars which serve Persia). He is ruthless, with a deadly reputation in Persia. Is quick to show cruelty, and to smile while doing it.
Keveh - Deviant and slave of Neoshad. He is a tragic figure, forced to serve Neoshad for his own survival. In the end, he takes his loyalty to Neoshad and the empire to his grave.
Tao - Persian Scholar and ambassador. He is technically the scholar 'owner' of the deviants Shida and Ezra. He treats them well, to the point that they don't feel like slaves around him. He is very charismatic, and interested in serving the empire as loyally and efficiently as possible. He's a strong advocator of peace, mostly through Persian conquest.
Shida - Persian Deviant slave to the Asha order. Is a younger recruit, with a much more naive mindset towards the world. Is overly optimistic, and generally tries to bring a positive mindset to the people around her.
Ezra - Hebrew Deviant slave to the Asha order. Mentor of Shida. Has many years of experience and doesn't take her duties as a slave lightly. Is fiercely loyal, and understands the necessity of showing strength, compassion, and respect to those around her.
