"M-mary..." Ririka voice comes out as Mary answered the call "I-i don't know how to say this" The platinum hair girl said. She was sobbing

"Ririka hey... Why are you crying?!" Mary can feel something bad has happened. Her heart was beating like crazy

"I-" The tears keep falling heavily from Ririka's eyes. She can't say anything because the tears won't stop falling "Please, come to the hospital immediately... Kokoro..."

Mary ended the call and ran out from the law firm. She started the engine and drove as fast as she can to the hospital. She arrived 15 minutes later, she walked in and find where Ririka at. The platinum hair girl was sitting on the bench outside the operating room

"Explain to me everything!" Mary said but Ririka doesn't give attention to her and keeps crying making Mary have to hold the other girl's shoulders "Ririka look at me!"

"I'm sorry Mary... I accidentally fall asleep, I don't know...maybe for 10 minutes and when I woke up... Kokoro... She was floating unconscious in the swimming pool!" Ririka explained. Her heart was racing and she was so scared of losing Kokoro

Mary keeps silent. She tries to calm down as she can feel her blood was boiling. She sat next to Ririka, doesn't know what to think

The doctor comes out, Mary and Ririka stood up at the same time. They looked at the doctor, hoping that he brings a piece of good news with him

"We already try our best but her pulse can't be detected. I'm sorry to say this but your daughter has passed away" The doctor said, feeling sorry for their lost

Hearing that making Ririka legs trembling caused her to fall to the floor. Mary bit her lips. The blonde girl finally let out a tear even when she tries her best not to

"Damn it!" Mary can feel the anger was burning in herself "I can't accept this, Kokoro didn't die right? Are you kidding right?!" Mary looked at the doctor, hoping that everything is only a prank or only a stupid nightmare. She wants to wake up!

"Receive the Lord's blessing. The Lord bless you and watch over you. The Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord look kindly on you and give you peace"

After the priest said the blessing, instrumental music was played. The coffin was carried out to the graveside. The coffin was lowered into the grave and all the mourners take their farewell

The priest goes to the graveside and reads the final prayer "Give her, o Lord, your peace and let your eternal light shine upon her"

"Let us go in the peace of the Lord"

After the funeral, Mary and Ririka went back to their house with Kirari, Yumeko, Sayaka, and all of the gang. The house somehow feels so empty just like their heart right now

"I know it's not easy but you have to stay strong nee-chan" Kirari said, holding Ririka's hand. Ririka nodded with a plastered faked smile on her face

"I- I'm a bad mother Kirari!" Ririka said. Her heart breaks into a million pieces

"No, no it's not your fault. Don't say that!" Kirari pulled Ririka to a hug to calm the other girl

Mary steps into Kokoro's room. She grabbed the teddy bear on the bed and sat down. She was the one that bought it for Kokoro and she knows how much the little girl loves it. The blonde girl hugged the teddy bear as the tears rolled down her face

"I'm sorry that you have to die at such young age kiddo. Mama love you so much!"

Mary sobbed. When she decided to adopt Kokoro, she swears that she will love the little girl, she will protect her, and make sure she became the happiest girl in the world

But now, everything is over. She fails. Kokoro that come into their life, gave them the best and beautiful memories now becomes a memory
