The sun shines in through the open window illuminating the elegantly decorated room, the sofa near the windows with two matching chairs on the side, a television across the king sized bed that was covered in the softest linens to provide the best comfort. The almost dark beauty of the room would take away anyone's breath.

The alarm rings on the desk beside the bed and the young master of the household groans as he rolls over to the side to shut the annoying sound, he lays there for a few more minutes in pure silence just breathing and letting his brain wake up. He notices the slight hum of pain in his body, most probably from the previous nights shenanigans, the hangover could be worse but he hadn't drank too much since he wanted to get laid.

And gotten laid he had, if his body were to speak the night had been good to him, slowly removing the sleep mask and glancing to the side, he cheers a little in his head at finding it empty. It was a good morning for him.

He pulls himself out of the bed and starts getting ready for the day, by the time he is done wearing his uniform, his phone is going off. He looks at the caller ID.

Thyme

He nods to himself picking it up and putting it on the speaker.

"Hello, Kavin?"

Thyme's voice filters through the phone sounding loud in the otherwise quiet bedroom.

"What is it Thyme?" Kavin grunts, fixing his hair and glasses. He had a presentation today and had to look perfect.

"Are you ready yet? Don't forget my dad wanted to meet you."

"Why did your dad want to meet me again?" Kavin asks, rolling his eyes. But a smile takes over his face anyway, the elder Gunthithanon was completely taken by him trusting him over his own son for things and while he hadn't planned for that to happen, he wasn't going to complain.

"Fuck if I know, he wants both of us there anyway. So don't be late, second son." Thyme curses and then cuts the call.

Kavin laughed at the "second son" comment, it was great being loved.

Barely having received affection in his family, being the middle child, it would only make sense for him to take any and all love he would get wouldn't it.

He grabbed his bag and keys, tucking his phone in his pocket and trudged downstairs. Time to get working.

The breakfast was always a somewhat lively affair, his younger sister complaining to him about some of her friends, while his older brother and father talked business. His mother sitting and scrolling on her phone, it was lively only because his sister loved to talk his ears off. After a while his father turned to him questioning about his college grades, to which he truthfully answered, "ninety nine percent."

Being the second son meant he wouldn't get a lot from the company so he had to work hard to secure his future and it was nothing much for him, these things were easy.

He was Kavin Aekaranwong after all, the smooth talker, the top of his college batch, the university representative. He was everyone's dream man whether it be in terms of looks or reliability. He could provide everything, except- his loyalty. He wasn't called the playboy for no reason and maybe just maybe he was also a bit of an asshole, but what did people expect. He was part of The F4.

While he wasn't the worst of them, you couldn't really call him a good person.

He still maintained a perfect record though, because nothing can last against you when you have that much money.

Kavin sat in the car scrolling through his phone while the driver dropped him off, answering some text messages and checking for any new emails. He saw one from Thyme's father which was weird considering the man didn't really contact Kavin on his own, usually preferring to just pass the message through Thyme. Ever since his stupid friend had convinced his father that Kavin was a responsible boy the man had started depending on Kavin to make sure Thyme didn't waste away his resources and to be homest he was doing a pretty good job of it, if he said so himself.
