Meant To Be

Chapter 5 - Just talk to each other already!

The rest of the day was pretty quiet between me and Dylan. The only words we spoke were, "Can ya pass the hot sauce?" "Thanks!"

I wouldn't say it was awkward, we just knew that if we talked to each other then the kiss would probably become the main subject of the conversation. So the easiest thing was to avoid all talking.

My mom kept asking why all us kids were acting so weird but no one ever answered. I kinda missed talking to Dylan, but i knew it was for the best.

**Next morning**

I woke up at exactly 11am, knowing no one would be awake, except possibly Dylan, I decided to have a shower and get dressed for the day.

I went downstairs to, as always, see Dylan sat on the couch, and to my surprise, Tuck next to him. I grab some cereal from the cupboard only saying "Morning" to Tuck.

After breakfast, I go sit next to Tuck on the couch. They are watching some sort of cowboy show on the tv. After a few minutes of silence, Tuck finally says, "Will you two just talk to each other already?"

Me and Dylan look at one another and just laugh. Tuck then gets up and turns the tv off, walking out of the room. He left me and Dylan alone, with nothing to do apart from talk.

"Hey..." I finally broke the silence.
"Hi.." He replied.
"So... What should we talk about?" I asked.

"Maybe we should talk about the kiss...?" He replied, looking quite nervous. "Umm ok sure..." I said.

We both said in unison, "So why did you kiss me?"
We both leant in so technically we kissed each other. We once again sat there in silence. Looking at each other every few minutes.

And before we knew it, we kissed again. But not by choice...

Tuck had walked towards us and pushed me into him. "The only time you two aren't acting weird around each other is when you're kissing so get used to it." Tuck said.

He let go of my head but neither me or Dylan pulled away. Thankfully, no one was awake except me, Dylan and Tuck.

Tuck left and me and Dylan just kissed for what felt like forever. Until Tuck re-entered the room and pulled us away saying, "That's enough. If ya wanna kiss for longer go into your rooms."

Me and Dylan just smiled at each other, which later turned into a laugh. Tuck was surprised at what we did next. We went upstairs into his room and locked the door.

After about an hour, we went downstairs again for breakfast, seeing all the siblings awake and shocked that they came down before us. Tuck still looked slightly shocked that we left him.

We explained to the other siblings that we went upstairs to watch tv because Tuck was watching trash down here. And they somehow believed it! "And you weren't making out?" Asked Cassidy.
I shook my head.
