Chapter 8 - But Dad!

Cassidy is becoming more and more suspicious about Beau going out. She thinks he's lying about going to Alabama.

Tuck and Brody are currently in the farmhouse with their dates, Dylan and I just watching TV in his room.

As we go downstairs to get snacks I see Tuck and Brody with their girlfriends, and Cassidy strolling around as if she is concentrating on something.

"DAD LIED!" Cassidy suddenly said.
Dylan and I shared a confused glance. "What do you mean?" I ask.

"He said he was going to Alabama but he's actually at Summers!" Cassidy yelled, very angrily. Dylan suddenly opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it.

"Hey guys whats u-" Bailey began but stopped when she saw the annoyed faces of the four siblings. "You know don't you?" She asked.

We all nodded our heads. "We're going to Summer's to confront him about lying!"

"Okay fine! But i didn't tell you so I ain't getting the blame!" Bailey added.

We were in the car and I was sat in the back squashed between Dylan and Brody.

When we arrived Cassidy banged on the door in annoyance. Beau opened the door to see three of his children, the nanny, and her daughter, me.

He was shirtless yet frozen in the doorway. He quickly ran to his shirt and put it on. We then stepped in as I admired the small home.

"What are you doing here?" Beau asked, sounding slightly worried.
"You lied!" Cassidy replied, completely ignoring the question Beau had just asked.

"I'm ready!" Summer said in a song voice. She walked out wearing a nighty. The boys gasped.

"She looks-" Tuck says.
"Cold!" Bailey interrupts quickly, grabbing a blanket and covering summer. The three boys are just frozen with their eyes wide.

"Look I'm sorry I lied!" Beau said.
"No dad! You grounded me for two weeks when I lied to you!" Cassidy said.
"I'm sorry I just didn't think you'd want me to stay over at Summer's!" Beau added.
"Why?" Cassidy and Tuck asked.
"Because I thought you would think I was disrespecting your mom." Beau said, looking at the ground.
"Dad we love you and we just want you to be happy!" Dylan adds, which makes me smile.
"Yeah dad, Summer makes you happy and we want you to be happy. And you aren't disrespecting mom." Brody says.

They all hug and me and my mom are just awkwardly standing there. Dylan grabs my hand and pulls me towards the hug. Now my mom is standing there all alone.

Beau pulls her into the hug and we just stand there hugging each other for around a minute. Dylan is behind me and just hugging me.
